Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge's thickness, weight, price, screen and bezel size leak

Is a slightly thinner profile worth the compromises compared to the S25+?

This... moreThe only people that this might be appealing to would be heavy Samsung fans, but to tech savvy users, the lacking specs wont be appealing enough to warrant the price of the phone, and to average users, it will be between this and the s25 plus. They have similar screen sizes and prices, but the s25+ has three cameras instead of two, and has a larger battery. In comparison, the s25e is slightly thinner.
There's also the fact that phones this thin are still a new thing. Just like how seeing the poor durability and large creases of early foldables made many consumers weary about them, the same thing will happen to thin phones because of the bendgate issues of the iPhone 6, which is exactly what killed hype for thin phones 10 years ago.

This phone will sell like hot cakes because despite what you think, people do want slimline phones. So again, you don't have a clue what you're talking about. I sell phones for a living, so I do know what I'm talking about, there are plenty of people who want to buy this phone.

Phone Shop Guy, 11 Mar 2025You don't have a clue what you're talking about"You don't have a clue what you're talking about" then proceeds to not elaborate at all.
-Because of the thin body of the s25e, the cooling is worse, leading to worse performance, as shown in leaked geekbench tests, where the edge variant scores between 1,000 and 2,000 points lower than the rest of the s25 series. Similarly can be said with the Z flip 6 (and especially the flips that came before that that didn't have any sort of vapor chamber), which consistently scores worse than the fold 6 and s24 devices, though not by much.
-The battery performance is going to be worse like a flip. The flip series has always been known for its bad battery life, so how exactly do you think the s25e with a similarly sized display will hold up with its 3,900 Mah battery? because I can tell you, it won't do well out of the box, and will continue to worsen as the phone ages.
-Durability will be worse since the frame is thinner, and its likely that the front and back glass panels are also thinner, making them more fragile.
-Display is 1080p, which would be fine if the phone wasn't going to cost almost a grand
I could go on, but just thinking about that phone is so draining. Its so boring and underwhelming

This is going to be a totally flop. Only samsung suckers and people who have FU money and don't care about the performance of their phone will buy this. Going to cost as much as a Z flip, have compromised cooling like a z flip, worse cameras like a flip, battery, performance, display, charging, reliability, etc. This phone is basically a Z flip that doesn't even have the gimmick that makes the z flip appeal to some people. It's funny to think that samsung tried so hard to hype this device up during unpacked, but in the end next to nobody is excited or impressed by it because other companies have done far better.

It may restart the phone in succession after 3 years of use on average. Li-Po has the upper hand on shelf life, whereas Li-Ion inflates when stored. That's why vintage phones that haven't been unpacked, have bloated batteries from storage.

Truly premium phones usually go with Li-ion because these type is better and keep higher charge for longer too.

If it's reasonably priced, I might consider buying it. However, it probably won't be, so I'll have to say no.

Instead of thinner smartphones, we need smartphones with even better cameras and even battery battery life.
