Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge's thickness, weight, price, screen and bezel size leak

06 March 2025
Is a slightly thinner profile worth the compromises compared to the S25+?

This is going to be a totally flop. Only samsung suckers and people who have FU money and don't care about the performance of their phone will buy this. Going to cost as much as a Z flip, have compromised cooling like a z flip, worse cameras like a flip, battery, performance, display, charging, reliability, etc. This phone is basically a Z flip that doesn't even have the gimmick that makes the z flip appeal to some people. It's funny to think that samsung tried so hard to hype this device up during unpacked, but in the end next to nobody is excited or impressed by it because other companies have done far better.

It may restart the phone in succession after 3 years of use on average. Li-Po has the upper hand on shelf life, whereas Li-Ion inflates when stored. That's why vintage phones that haven't been unpacked, have bloated batteries from storage.

Truly premium phones usually go with Li-ion because these type is better and keep higher charge for longer too.

Was hoping for the smaller screen size, not the same as the +

If it's reasonably priced, I might consider buying it. However, it probably won't be, so I'll have to say no.

                        Another BAD TREND by Apple.

Instead of thinner smartphones, we need smartphones with even better cameras and even battery battery life.

Better they would have preferred a tetra strong speaker device or single super powerful camera or dual battery with one swapable one makes sense

It's good I don't have to carry my knife around to cut vegetables and defend myself against trouble anymore 👍

I still have a working pristine condition Galaxy A5 (2014) that has a thickness of 6.7mm. ths thing is light as easily fits into the shirt pocket like the days of Blackberry Onyx. I can't imagine how fragile the S25 would be to be under 6mm LOL

I'm interested. At least it's different than what's out there.

If I could make one change it's to base it on the 6.2in vanilla and make it below 150gr.

There are way thinner devices, foldables or not, now or in the past. Will be interesting to compare the hardware, if it's really up to 2025 standard...
