Vale, 07 Mar 2025Making something thinner by removing components doesnt mean... moreYou think by removing $1 of battery and $7 of camera they can magically price it $300 lower?

>For that you're sacrificing battery size (and, naturally, battery life), and one camera, all in the name of the 0.56mm thinner profile. Worth it? You tell us.
Classic Vlad. LoOk oNLy 0.000005mm tHiNneR.
The difference between 190 and 162g will for sure be noticeable. And because the other two dimensions are so big, removing even that amount significantly reduces the volume.

Making something thinner by removing components doesnt mean it should cost less. Of course if you make a smaller battery and remove a camera you will have a thinner and lighter device, this should be cheaper than the regular s25 even

the one time samsung tries something new, it's the most useless thing ever. Is it just plain cheaper for them to shave off the camera and develop a thinner phone, than it is to provide proper top tier sensors for their base phones?

L.O.R.D, 07 Mar 2025Another fragile flagship incoming. Typical samsungAll in all, their phones and tablets never broke into pieces when bent. Besides foldables, which are evidently more fragile, which of their regular ones proved to need more care than usual, so that you say that?

"For that you're sacrificing battery size (and, naturally, battery life), and one camera, all in the name of the 0.56mm thinner profile"
Two points: first, as S25+ is 7.3mm thick, the difference between the two according to my math is 1.46mm, not 0.56. Also, you sacrifice the zoom camera but you do get the main 200 MP camera possibly from the Ultra. So, you win some, you lose some.

I hope, if it will be thinner, it will be less bloated also.

S25+ is already expensive. S25 Edge is thinner, use little materials including battery. But priced equal to S25+ which is already expensive.

size of an s25 Plus
4000mah battery of an s25, without telephoto lens
the chinese will take advantage of this new wave of thin devices
with the new silicon batteries, they can make a device with the same thickness or even thinner than a Samsung or Apple, but with a 5000mah battery
