I absolutely hate the stock Android aesthetic. Looks like childish garbage.

FatShady, 07 Mar 2025no thanks! android is already using over 5gb of ram while d... moreJust disable them all.

When an app is launched, its code and data are loaded from storage into RAM.
Android will then keep that app's data in RAM as long as there is space.
When RAM becomes scarce, the operating system will start to release memory by:
          Closing background apps.
          Clearing cached data.
Ultimately, forcing running applications to close.
"There are only two possibilities, RAM can be used or it can be wasted. Obviously, the first is better. Any free memory is forever wasted -- a 4GB [phone] can't use 2GB today in order to use 6GB tomorrow. If you're thinking "I want it free now so I can use it later", forget that. You can use it now and use it later."
How many apps do you leave running in the background that you're worried about a widget existing? TLDR: Things actually ARE optimized pretty well.

HTC Sense from 2011 is back

Anonymous, 07 Mar 2025Unused RAM is wasted RAM. Exactly, people who get anxiety just because of supposed high RAM usage should really learn more on how Android actually works before fearmongering online

Even more battery usage and more RAM usage by doing nothing! Great innovation!

no thanks! android is already using over 5gb of ram while doing nothing, so find a fix for this crap and stop introducing more ram eaters.
