I'm not excited, it's like taking the "Sony" element out of Sony.

Big pixels give big bokeh and very beautiful colours, that I have't seen being achieved by binning.

    As it would be 1/2.8 at 50MP and 10Times anyway. Just with versatility as you can't use a 10Times persicope for anything below 10Times and would need to zoom as far just to get decent image quality.

                Problem is manual camera compare to most phone is auto or ai filter

                    They should put this new sensor on their phone not others

                      I have a 48MP camera and I don't think I have shot more than 10 48MP photos.
                      I normally just go for the 16MP setup, which already gives me photos that are larger than 4K resolution

                        Best you can get from 1inch is 36mp , 1/1.3" is 24mp, 1/1.5" is 16mp. 1/1.7" is 12mp, 1/2.3" is 8mp and Any higher megapixels above that is terrible with artifacts. It is totally marketing scam.

                          I am of the view that a 200MP sensor should be at least a 1-inch type, so that the individual pixel size remains decent enough (0.8 um). For 1/1.3" or 1/1.4" sizes, 50MP is better suited.

                          Even at 1-inch size, it would be interesting to see how much additional benefit the increased MP count brings.

                            zoom and beyond for the year 2025 in flag ship phones
                            it s been years since hua wei p 40 pro plus zooms now
