Tell me something is a failure without telling me something is a failure. Bye Bye, Harmony Next

YUKI93, 20 Mar 2025Ironically, the 2013 Sony Xperia Z Ultra and 2015 Huawei P8... moreThis makes a sensible, feasible replacement for those phones, without ruining the experience, unlike those tall-display ODM giraffes that can't even show 4:3 displays without thick black bars, not even the typical 16:9 videos.
For some reason, it also reminds me of the short-lived but unique LG Vu series. It's also pocketable as a stack of cards when folded, unlike today's ODM giraffes.

I love the design of this phone, for someone who is holding on to the 13 mini with a death grip. I would be interested in purchasing this device. Good Job Huawei for thinking outside the box.

Even ones with 8.0cm were once criticized by media for being too wide.
No phone should be more than 7.65cm.

And at the same time Samsung's idea of innovation is launching the same phone every year with different colors...

People are cooking for other companies for no reason now. Just bcs you dont see new things happening in mobile, that doesn't mean there is no innovation happening, or they are doing nothing.

I dare to say that this is the best idea and screen ratio for a foldable phone to date. Not too big, nor too tall or thin, enough space for a triple camera set, a bigger battery and an external display with enough useable area.
Huawei would rule the market if wasn't for all the stupid US bans. Even forced to have limited resources, Huawei still manages to make devices like this.

wsad, 20 Mar 2025there is nothing revolutionary about this: it's a fold... moreIpads, most of Android tablets has squarish ratio nowadays but people still but it, they don't really care that much. Samsung is prolly the only one selling high end tablets that's not the similar aspect ratio as apple's. Personally I'm not a fan of the black bars around screen like you mentioned but don't really care that much in phones. If anything, I want phones to be wider and less taller

Anonymous, 20 Mar 2025Processors are not innovation. He's talking real excit... moreWell it's certainly more innovative than designing practically nothing of any significance in the phone and just buying all the parts from third parties and slapping them together. The majority of the innovation in phones is from the component suppliers. Many phones from many of the major brands are ODM even so brands don't even design them. They just outsource the design and manufacture and stick their logo and software on the phone

wsad, 20 Mar 2025there is nothing revolutionary about this: it's a fold... moreYes, this is innovation, because neither the brand rulers, with more presence in west can do this before, the big brands rest comfortably while they catch billions dollars from users that sleeps in the continuism
