Nice but the bezels are large. In general the design of the phone does not imprees, while it's back is better than K80 pro. Other than that great integration. Hope the price stays low as in K80 pro

The good news is it looks like the optical zoom has not been downgraded from the k80pro. In all previous articles gsmarena were saying it had a 2x optical zoom and also had this written in the specs for the phone (I checked the specs page yesterday even and this was the case). However, the spec page has been updated today and now says 2.5x (60mm) so it must be getting the same zoom as the k80 pro which is exactly the same as the Xiaomi 15. It has a decent main sensor and optical zoom if the latest specs are correct. The ultrawide is a bit weak (as effectively it's still 8mp with the binned pics) but that's the least important sensor anyway for most people.

just thinking of X14T pro back then which caused laughing through tears with its price tag, despite the ewaste tablet thrown in a package with it ;)

That is not what I'm talking about. S25U has the spen. That is entirely different use case and you cannot compare those 2 devices.
S25+ -> yes, I'd agree they are direct competitors.
