This will make a good Hollywood corporate thriller. think it took years to plan.
First - Microsoft wants foothold in hardware in mobile division.so it needs to takeover some good mobile company in peanuts amount.
Second - placing a mole/trojan Elop in Nokia, who rejects Meego,Android. So that Nokia would run into losses, devaluing it.
Third- Nokia finds it difficult to survive due to those nefarious decisions.
Fourth - Microsoft offers to buy Nokia (acting as saviour) that too at such a hilarious price as planned before.
Fifth - Mission Accomplished!!!

Anonymous, 04 Sep 2013Sad Elop killed Nokia Yes, that has been clear sins feb. 2010 sad..... But on the bright side the Nokia spirit is alive and well over at Jolla. And remember Nokia still have NSN, Maps, patents and future technologies. So perhaps Jolla and Nokia can work together in the future... :-)

I'm listening this Nokia Tune and writing this. Microsoft bought Nokia because of their own benefit. Now, there is no Nokia. As a Nokia fan, i will never ever, and ever buy any Microsoft products. If you truly are a Nokia fan, you wouldn't buy any Microsoft products ever. Let Microsoft know that they are useless and we don't need them. Stephen Elop, i hope you die a horribly painful death.

Ericsson was bought by Sony, brand lost.
Siemens was bought by Benq, both are dead.
Philips was bought, as dead.
I think Bosch was also bought.
Motorola was purchased by Google, it's almost dead.
I'm afraid that it will happen too with Nokia. Nomatter what haters say it is one of the icos of mobile industry.
