              mawlki, 25 Mar 2025So all rumors about the 7 core were false. There is a 7 core variant of 8 Elite but it too is called 8 Elite, ir can be found in the new Oppo Find N5.

              It has 2x Oryon Phoenix-L cores and 5x Oryon Phoenix-M cores, same GPU and everything else though.

                Man shut up, Apple is irrelevant to most people outside the US.

                Their biggest advantage is that they don't have too many variables to account for unlike Android SoC makers.

                You can come argue when Apple figures out how to make a proper file manager and back button and how not to make unnecessarily complex and charge 4x the market price.

                Android is Vastly superior to iOS.

                    Apple is supreme in chips but bad in product design.

                              I know some people have understandably taken a sigh of relief and others are sharpening their pitchforks to attack something new about Qualcomm Snapdragon.

                              Face it folks, Qualcomm is not yet the evil semiconductor designer that Intel became and perished and NVIDIA has become with not enough consequences yet.

                              MediaTek is inferior when it comes to driver support and community acceptance due to their own poor reputation of overheating and underperforming in the past. And untill MediaTek can overcome these realistic objective issues, Qualcomm will reign supreme in the Mobile SoC world.

                              Now before someone twists and paraphrases me to absurd extents, I am actually rooting for team MediaTek, I don't want Qualcomm to become a monopoly and then go down like Intel. I (and other people like me) need MediaTek to catch up in these lesser discussed aspects to keep the competition alive.
