David 040882, 28 Mar 2025I think that the camera bump design and colors are the abso... moreWell, most people buy with their eyes instead of looking at the specs meaning that the first appeal is the aesthetic part, then the spec sheet. So how it looks matters the most to a larger part of potential buyers. Your theory is however correct but in Sammy's case I think their designers and engineers have been really lazy. And if they moved mountains to get to this result then I think they moved the wrong mountain and rushed all things so it would have an answer to the Apple crap air thing. Nothing original thus. Those days are gone it seems and when they do out something "original" it is often something that is impractical in use. Now, this is how I see things in that market. It isn't the bible so it very fine if people like this phone and are eager to buy one.

Docktor, 28 Mar 2025People would appreciate tele camera instead of ultrawideA telephoto would be rather hard to fit on such a slim device. The only options would be to either use a very low quality, small sensor one, which is definitely not what you want on a premium-money phone like this one, or to add a thicker camera bump, which would sort of defeat the purpose of the phone.

Anonymous, 28 Mar 2025@samsung: think of other name for it, like "blade"... moreI see you contradicted yourself? Edge is an established Samsung brand name. It was used to emphasise the slimness of the edges on their flagships. Like this model.

The whole focus here, design-wise, went on the slimness of the phone. So if there's a phone where the visual aesthetics don't matter as much, it would be on a phone like this.

I wish Samsung would implement the thinnest and lightest approach and apply it to the smaller screen 6.2 inch, S

Although it's not ugly it is again the same boring design language of Samsung. Even when there are only 2 cameras instead of a shitload of those. Really Sammy, it's already 10 past midnight. You got so boring that it became ugly already a while ago (PS: same goes for Apple but at least their useless ultra slim shit will have a somewhat different design compared to the equally boring range of Apple smartphones). Ok, ok, I know, it's a question of taste and you should not argue about colours, shapes, tastes... But I do.

A pathetic, bare minimum, derivative effort by Samsung to try and mimic Apple's imminent 17 Air release.

DarlingYext, 28 Mar 2025It just looks cheap, doesn't fit into the S series. It looks exactly like the Medicube Booster Pro Mini. It has the same exact aesthetic. It's bizarre.

@samsung: think of other name for it, like "blade", or "thin", or something. "edge" won't cut it - see what I did there.

The design is fine. I could live with it. The price could be a problem.

I can't wait to be on sale to buy two. One for morning and other one for afternoon cos battery won't last till your work shift ends 😂 I really don't know for who they make this phone. They say compact phone dies cos they're small, "heating" problem and small batteries inside but yet they make this with even smaller battery 😂
