Hopefully Sony puts a better screen on this one, FHD+ on a $1400 phone is a running joke.

I love it. I hope Sony doesn't muck it up. Give at least 16GB RAM and a screen with high minimum PWM, upgrade the chip to Elite of course, otherwise keep everything from the 1 VI version.

With those prices Sony will soon just stop making phones. As even if Xperia phones have few interesting features that are skipped by competition, overall they are still ok at best but asking 1300 for phone when competition give you almost the same hardware and in other aspect even better results for like 700-900 show you that Sony is just looking for "not that bright" fans...

for that price they need to give atleast 5yr major os upgrade & dedicated dac & not just crappy qualcomm generic sound.

Is it just because of th... moreNow you're blaming us for having a preference on MicroSDXC card slot and headphone jack that for you may not be important but for us are important? You have preferences, fine, have it your way. But, please, did Stan Twitter infiltrate your thinking or what to be this way? I understand packaging and accessories are important for first experience, but even Chinese companies are starting to removed them in their packaging starting in Europe and not everything had to be judged from the outside based on packaging. Mary Poppins said it the best in her 2018 film Mary Poppins Returns, "The cover is not the book!" or in this case, "the packaging is not the phone!" People have priorities which one they prefer, considering how unpleasant is the smartphone industry after 2020. Those who can spend a Sony phone can spend more on purchasing chargers and cable separately that is USB-PD compliant, or even use USB-C laptop chargers with PD support, and there is a lot out there, and at least Sony support USB-PD which EU mandates since 2024, unlike some phone companies who insist their proprietary but when done with USB-PD, it is even worse.

Why do fanboys glaze Sony so hard? Is it just because of the headphone jack and sd card? Need I remind you that Sony didn't even ship a charging cable, let alone a charger. And their packaging is a joke!
