Glad the design didn't change. This will be my next, ditching iPhone.

ProMaxUltraAreBricks, 05 Apr 2025Pixel phones are top tier in photography thanks to their in... moreThat's funny considering how Pixel is shown to be outclassed by flagships from Xiaomi and BBK under many circumstances.
Pixels' photos are terrible for manual post-editing too - Ever since Pixel 5 where they changed the frame stacking method for their HDR+ algorithms, their RAW images have been full of blotchy artifacts that are very hard to remove. The JPEG engine seemingly deals with this automatically by applying a higher amount of noise reduction selectively (which replaces these coloured artifacts with smudgy patterns), but this causes moving objects, especially human faces, to get smeared heavily.

I think they're gonna use the isocell GNK with the pixel 10 pro and use the isocell gm5 for the aux cams. Because the imx 858 has 50mp not 48mp. The should use the isocell jn1 for the telephoto camera with base pixel 10 at least

.alpha, 04 Apr 2025Pixel haven't had top tier camera for yearsPixel phones are top tier in photography thanks to their industry leading computational photography algorithms, rather than solely boasting the largest sensors or highest megapixels year after year.
Pixels software focused approach historically delivers excellent, reliable, fast "point and shoot" images favored by average users, often outperforming phones with technically superior camera sensors but worst algorithms.
Therefore, Pixels has maintained a top tier camera status because of its computational photography algorithm, demonstrating how sometimes software excellence is more crucial than raw hardware specifications for achieving widely appreciated results (see MKBHD phone camera blind test, only Pixels in the top 1/2/3).

Reading the comments, now I understand why Sony insisted continuous optical zoom that cover the range between 3.5x to 7.1x in 1 VI, when the comments are complaining which many times zoom a smartphone should cover that is perfect, then I can see why Sony decided to cover the critical range of 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, and 7x simultaneously.

They've been reusing the GNV since the Pixel 8 series, and they're going to use it again in the 10 series, and obviously they're going to offer mid-range sensors at premium high-end prices! It was the perfect opportunity for Google to use a high-end Sony camera sensor from the 9XX series and completely leave Samsung aside!

Anonymous, 04 Apr 2025It is not 1 frame with 3 exposures, it is 3 images combined... moreYeah, and those 3 images are derived from a single frame. Through either different levels analogue gain or conversion gain, 3 versions of the same image are created which are then combined together.

35mm is important to studio photography, just like 50mm.
Where the only focus is the person.
24mm is best to outdoor photography. Perfect balance of showing person and where person is , without making the person " small" like superwide lenses.
35mm , basically is like cutting 56% of photo away. That is huge difference.
Not worth for phone users.
Best part of all this is fact no one admits why x100 ultra could easily beat x200 pro that has new 818 when both were put to fight on this website. Why didn't the new cmos help? Where was marvelous DSG?

Nick Tegrataker, 04 Apr 2025"Sensor worse for photos but better for videos does no... more1) These phones already use multi exposure. Not going to make difference if it happens on-sensor or not.
2) some isocell have dual gain, still beaten by exmor
3) many on-sensor functions are disabled by clients. None of them have taken advantage of DOL or DCG ( this one seem on LYT900).
X200 Pro with same lyt818 was humiliated by 100 Ultra.
Samples posted on this website. Not even necessary to use zoom tool to see which was better.
People here need to stop the double standart because of nationality of the phone maker. Downgrade is downgrade. No matter who does. And downgrade is done to save money.
Weaker cam on vivo and google.
FHD on sony 1 mk6 .
5x camera instead of 10x on samsung.
Motorola edgo 60 phones with mediatek .
None of these should have happened. Nothing of this benefits users.
Even with evidence posted by this website, fanboys keep saying it is not downgrade.

... more"dsg hdr does not improve light intake, it only overlap frames by default"
It widens the dynamic range AND reduces the noise as well (compared to single gain readout), improving the SNR.
It also doesn't overlap frames - The whole point of dual/triple conversion gain HDR is that you can achieve a similar effect to stacking frames *using a single frame only*.
