        At least with Samsung you know UI doesn't mean USELESS IDIOT as one of the publishable acronyms could be

        The more advanced the features the longer in theory it can be held, indeed my inter contract replacement handset due to both screen protectors and "armour" case is pristine
        The long OS offers by Samsung on its NON FLAGSHIP range is a selling point

        Indeed people who GENUINELY but wrongly criticise the next iteration i.e S25 not materially different to S24 make the case unless you are upgrading an not in contract already it doesn't matter, faster SoC more Pixel more storage, it just knowing you have the lastest is not a reason. Unless very skilled many wouldn't notice difference between disguised handset

        I have an old working handset which I take to non secure places, e.g.Gym still in phone contact but mainly MP3 player not to damage other handset.

        The next biggie may be 6G. FLAGSHIPS Samsung over £1200+ every two year contract is unnecessary imo, even when you compare models two years part

        The most depressing part if the title is everybody on the planet knows that we have another 7 years of your banal comment on this model alone, PLUS the same antithetical comments for each and every model.

        Samsung offeris & delivered to customers improvements. Your comment are considered pre 1818, before Mary Shelley thesis & upgrade

        In 2023 Samsung were appox 1st among peers to release. In 2024 PRE ANNOUNCED major overhaul, it is rumoured [look it up] that UI 8 may be pre installed on both future foldable release

          I come from enterprise sales of mobile devices. The contracts are always between 2-5 years (2-3 years is the most common). Then, a new contract takes place with new handsets. Even if a customer chooses an S25 device in 2026, it will be renewed no more than when it is 6 years old.

                [deleted post]Did I say I dislike Samsung products? Not at all. There's a reason why I have Samsung devices on my favourites list. And I'm also a former Samsung user. Though I don't use a Samsung device at the moment, I have no reason to buy a Samsung device, when my current phone works seamlessly, efficiently and quickly.

                If you're making comparisons to Linux distros, do notice the fact that you can't even run any custom ROM of your choice on Samsung devices. In Linux, you can customize anything to your liking, whereas you can't uninstall bloatware on Samsung devices. Linux provides updates that stabilize their devices, whereas Samsung updates break the functionality of their own devices, while forcing their users to replace them quickly. I expected a sensible comparison, not a juvenile statement that doesn't make a valid comparison.
