When many vendors finally started to offer 4+ android updates for their phones, google came with a big F U for everybody by releasing 2 versions yearly. So in the end there is still just 2-3 years of support. I was a big Android fan from the beginning, but i see less amd less reasons getting another android phone

If they don't, they're simply overcharging for no reason with those pointless cumulative updates and a UI bloated like detergent swans on a river.

Samsung please provide OS updates on time,

Samsung can't even deliver Android 15 with OneUI 7 on time, yet they have confidence to give another one? Four to five OS update is still way more than enough. I rather see more updates on security patches instead of OS versions.

I'd bet these builds will run perfectly on a non-enterprise edition device (they are identical hardware wise)

Zendroid, 06 Apr 2025Yet it will still be midrange device for the flagship price... moreAnd all of these updates are simply a hoax, because it's just a faster track to plague their existing phones with bigger issues and force those users to buy newer devices.

Samsung couldn't yet deliver one of those 7 OS updates to last year's devices, but surely they can deliver 8 OS updates to these, naah it seems just like another empty promise from them.

                        Half hearted LTS OS.

The new chipset can last longer compared to the old chipset. Also, no point buying new when it has 8 is software upgrades going to wait 2 years, so it will be cheaper.

Samsung is really selling these updates.

It's better to buy a phone which lasts for 4 to 5 years max.

No phone will last for 8 years. It's performance may go down due to outdated processor, RAM, modem and many more. Need to replace battery.

Hope, it's not a good option to buy a phone which get 8 years of update.

7-8 years of OS upgrades doesn't really mean much if you tend to take forever to actually deliver them

Yet it will still be midrange device for the flagship price, plus extra taxes because it's business. Enterprise edition is a joke.
