If this enterprise version is for business they sure as hell will keep that promise guaranteed because of contracts

Business deal laptops for example are much better quality than commercial consumer versions

Because they have warranties and they better make them better or else it will cost the OEMs money to keep fixing them

That's why buying second hand business laptops and projectors are good deals.. just better quality most of the time

Haha 8 years, I'm with s23u still on android 14, while first releases of android 16 are coming, Samsung is full of air

Just a reminder than Samsung doesn't guarantee monthly security updates and doesn't provide them during the lifetime of updates. Good luck with that in the enterprise.

7 or 8 Android releases sounds extraordinary - but i hardly doubt, the battery would last that long, in terms of capacity. A lot of would being degraded over the years, into this term. Anyone remembers back the day, when the battery was simply being user replace-able?
And i guess, when you'd sent your phone to Samsung, Xiaomi or whatever brand - the battery replacement does cost a lot.

Nobody would risk accidental malfunction or damage to their device and pay the expensive repair if for same price as repair cost they can buy new device with new warranty.

Hopicus, 06 Apr 2025This is the proof that s25 series is not selling as expecte... moreIf samsung would add equal years of warranty as years of updates they would be the most selling phone brand in world right here and right now they dying just like LG,. Fact they are available litterary everywhere just like Apple aint much because chinese brands offers equal or better quality and for same price as Samsung they sells 2-3 times better specced devices.
Fact the Samsung is available litterary everywhere does not change anything becuase said chinese brands sells much more than samsung in regions they are both for sale.

                      Othervise its just a gimmick.
If your phone dies for some reason after 2 years nobody will spend same price on repair rather will buy new phone with new 2 years of warranty.

Even with 100 years of updates wuld swap my phone every two years the mment my warranty goes off.
Last thing i want to experience is a dead úphone by accident and had to pay for expensive repair because my warranty were gone.
This way i can get new phone with new warranty even if diffenrece between old and new will be just 10% performance increase but can sleep well that uif anything for any reason happens have my warranty and free repair.
And this way it means i can sell my 2 years old device for a still decent value so the new phone will cost much less this way.
Othervise nobody would buy 7-8 or even 10 years old but still working phone.

7 or 8 years of updates are good but you will buy a new phone sooner than that. 3 years is the golden medium. No need to buy every year.

Anonymous, 06 Apr 2025It's better to buy a phone which lasts for 4 to 5 year... moreMine will be 7 years this fall, and if it had a durable LCD instead of a weak OLED, it would probably last even longer.

As if businesses would keep using the same phone for 8 whole years, 2-3 is more realistic.

Anonymous, 06 Apr 2025It's better to buy a phone which lasts for 4 to 5 year... moreTrue. If they also promise one time free battery replacement that would be more practical.

This is the proof that s25 series is not selling as expected. 7/8 years software updates would not do much when there is no innovation. Literally feels like samsung is selling same phone every year.
