it does not bother Apple fans. Because a fanboy will be always a fanboy. It does not bother Apple as well, as they will reap some $ benefit through this :)

Anonymous, 08 Apr 2025Dude, Xperia isn't even available in North America any... moreYour comparison with LG mobile extinct division is completely irrelevant.
Fortunately Xperias aren't Sony mobile division main source of profits, camera sensors sold by billions to smartphone world market leaders is their number 1 cash cow.
They keep Xperia lineup for their small but very loyal fanbase and as a technological showcase of their know-how, if not they would have started to copy blindly mainstream brands trend by ditching memory expansion and audio jack port as brainwashed average consumers (the majority)have been convinced about their "obsolence". They suffice to themselves with their small fanbase and won't shut down their mobile division anytime soon.

They are fine with their niche market share through their very loyal fanbase and it's good to see they still keep audio jack and memory expansion unlike mainstream brands.

Sony does not. Not Asus, not htc.
LG could simply had taken some measures to mitigate the issue instead.
Like killing K series. Remain making phones in the price range of $400 - 1000.

Alwayscorrect, 08 Apr 2025Do you need eggs that badly I stopped buying eggs they first doubled the price 5 years ago. Now it's 7 times more. I wouldn't buy it even if I had a disease and eggs were the cure.
