                          I couldn't care less if the iPhone doubled in price. Couldn't care if I went back to using a 10 year old phone.

                          The most existential threat to America is the barbarian hordes, dysgenics, and globalism. A European civilization is worth more than living in Syria with a cheap iPhone.

                            Wonder where's the report on other Smartphone brands. Especially on countries like South Korea and Japan which got 25% tariff? How much will increase on all samsung smartphones?

                                Carriers know how to lure consumers on contract deals to make them strongly believe that it's cheaper or almost "free" cost wise compared to unlocked units.

                                  Right now in Bulgaria (an EU country) the cheapest 1TB iPhone 16 Pro Max I can find from a non-sketchy local online retailer is about the local equivalent of 2100USD (3800 BGN) and I doubt the rest of EU gets much different pricing. So yeah, better get used to paying as much as the rest of the world.

However it varies from state to state. The difference is in Europe prices are stated including VAT. In the US the prices are always stated before sales tax as sales tax has to be calculated according to the state the consumer is in. The final price the consumer pays will be significantly more than the listed price once the sales tax is added. Sales tax is lower than VAT in Europe though. For examole it's 6.5% in Washington

                                      Why should consumers absorb the additional costs? If they want to continue selling the phones, I guess that shareholders will have to live with smaller profits!

                                        iPhone 16 Pro Max (1TB) is sold for: $3472.79
                                        I am not buying it just because it doesn't have the separate number row...
