Bot10Exists, 10 Apr 2025you're the one who brought up update size, and please ... moreSamsung is a behemoth, massively larger with huge resources, no one disputes that. But even giants face complexities. Like the recent major shake-up with the Samsung Electronics System LSI division being reorganized and moved under the MX (Mobile eXperience) division, this kind of internal restructuring inevitably creates 'noise' and adjustments that can impact timelines, even with vast resources.
Specially given the scale of this huge Vulkan technical update, is a 2-3 month delay really something to 'cry every day for'?
Like I said before, the alternative is getting a rushed, buggy, potentially unusable phone, which absolutely no consumer actually wants. A slight wait for stability is the better outcome.
And I didn't bring up the update size first. You brought up those "3-4 gigs" out of nowhere :
"Bot10Exists, 3 hours ago
also, coloros 15 had a huge ai update (even if it's a negative change, it's a big change) and released in december with about 3-4 gigs."
My previous points did not mention download size, please reread them carefully. Thanks.

About time. Some developers have already started seeding the Android 16 beta update, and Samsung has only just started rolling out Android 15 to older devices.

Expecting that massive graphics change to perform identically and without unique bugs across every feature, old and new One UI 7 ones, on the S23U's 8 Gen 2 versus the S24U's 8 Gen 3. That's what needs meticulous testing on each and every devices.

Why would I use any product that I like nothing about? It'd make absolutely no sense, I did in the past use products that I didn't like, and well I didn't use them for a long them, but instead switched away quickly.

Awesome! What are those? Nobody talks about them, everyone just says that there is a lot of difference, what are they then, if they are so important? Oh, and try answering me without mentioning AI, or calling me any random emoji, as I didn't resort to things like the latter either.

It'd be like calling going from sharp corners to rounded corners a big difference, then, wouldn't it? By your logic, isn't a downgrade also a difference? Man, up that poo logic because it's stinking.
Sorry to burst your nuts, but there's way more difference between One UI 6 and One UI 7 compared to One UI 5 and One UI 6. By the way, I never raised any "difference" argument neither did I complain, so run off!

Even a "huge AI update" in ColorOS likely does not compare to the fundamental system-level changes in this One UI 7 version, particularly the Vulkan graphics overhaul, alongside updates for new features, new Galaxy AI features and other enhancements.
The update size is hardly a measure of complexity. For exemple, much of the "AI" and apps related features are often delivered via updated apps like Gallery or other packages, after you updated the phone itself.

Not to mention no downgrades, which is something that the S25 Ultra has compared to the S24 Ultra and even older Ultra and Note devices.
"Oh, so there was a big thing separating the S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra which must have been why they didn't wait 4 months.. "
Well, is there a big enough difference between One UI 6 and One UI 7 that warrants a wait this long? No, there isn't.

For android 15, that was in mid February of last year, meaning that Samsung has taken a whopping 14 months to develop One UI 7.
