Huawei somehow becomes sort of a luxury brand in the West for the sophisticated customers demanding something groundbreaking and different, like Italian cars. Good for them, Samsung could only dream of such positioning.

Well, it seems like a perfect form if only they make the battery last longer with even smaller footprint when folded.

My calculations tell me this leads to over a billion dollars in sales - but I wonder how much of that is profit for Huawei.

Tri-fold in the price of tri-devices
Mate/Magic Book, Pad, Phone
Their buyers aren’t siley,

But also kind of makes me lose hope that people are paying so much for a first gen product but hey man, there's NOTHING else in the world quite like it. So at least you have bragging rights too.
Whatever the case tho this will always be a divisive device. I'm just happy it exists.

Not surprising. Huawei are selling as much as they could produce and there are a lot of people willing to pay that price for a unique 1st gen product.

I've heard a few friends from the UK and Canada say they've seen people walking around with this phone. So the market for people importing this phone must be huge as well.
