Anonymous, 14 Apr 2025Why are the X8 pictures blurrier? the W in the first photo ... moreBecause of shallower depth of field, it's written in the article. If you want to have deeper depth of field (all image sharp), then buy something with smaller sensor and/or slower lens aperture. But I'm sure 9 of 10 people would be more satisfied with X8 Ultra...

Anonymous, 14 Apr 2025Why are the X8 pictures blurrier? the W in the first photo ... moreDeeper depth of field and more sharpening on Find X7 Ultra's photos in general. At least for the two telephoto cameras, the actual amount of captured details is noticeably higher on Find X8 Ultra.

Why are the X8 pictures blurrier? the W in the first photo is a good example of the X7 having more detail. Here's hoping the X200 Ultra isn't a complete downgrade like this

impressive displays and CPU, Nokia 808 is the one to get.

I know when i had Galaxy Note 8 in 2017, in that time i didn't know about Nokia 808, i would take 808 instead of all those flagships and that was time i was using only classic SMS :)

But even then, the Nokia is in a class of its own. Naturally high res sensor that's made with both 4:3 and 16:9 shooting in mind.... What sort of genius even came up with that?

Also, that phone has naturally high dynamic range idk what it is but it's my observation. Even tho there's no computational HDR processing the photos dont look horrendous in terms of dynamic range. Now THAT'S a classy sensor!!!!

Honestly the X300 Ultra could just use the same sensor and use Vivo's processing and im sure people would give it the best phone camera of 2026 award.

The bokeh is significantly better on the new phone. Seems like mobile photography is approaching DSLR levels of quality.

Give us something new and exciting! Try new stuff! I appreciate Fuji also for their non-conventional nature too. This is the process that drives progress.

Foveon sensors have higher color information and possible higher sharpness as a result of needing less aggressive anti-aliasing filters compared to Bayer sensors. They had a real hard time in the DSRL era, so I wish they would pivot and see what else is possible.

"Subsequent X3-equipped cameras have less aliasing because they include micro-lenses, which provide an anti-aliasing filter by averaging the optical signal over an area commensurate with the sample density. This is not possible in any color channel of a Bayer-type sensor. Aliasing from the Foveon X3 sensor is "far less bothersome because it's monochrome," said Norman Koren.[19] In theory, it is possible for a Foveon X3 sensor with the same number of photodiodes as a Bayer sensor and no separate anti-aliasing filter to attain a higher spatial resolution than that Bayer sensor."
