Samsung halts One UI 7 rollout for Galaxy S24 series

The update has been pulled from Samsung's OTA servers after reports of several bugs.

Thats why i believe these 5 years support...7 years support is just a marketing trick. We are ok with 3-4 years update...but make them timely and without bugs...

      vexus, 14 Apr 2025Samsung OS dept are sleeping in their jobPossibly but I think splitting the team to OneUI 7 and OneUI 8 in mid beta and deployment of the former was a BAD move.

      Also any and all of their English and multi language reps should be working with executives and their legal team and make a statement with a sound reachable plan with no more delays no more hiccups and start testing internally FULLY feature by feature action by action.

      Look at their most reputable Samsung Members in Members apps that have countless solutions for helping others to work and get PAID for their feedback and testing

            Samsung era is over and behind the other models

              I'm team Samsung and I love their phones but this is bloody ridiculous! Android 16 is going to be dropping shortly, and Samsung is still on Android 14 except for their S25 series. Somebody at Samsung needs to be fired! Somehow, Google and Apple manage to make updates seem easy, but with Samsung its a tall task. I'm thinking of trading in my S24 for a Pixel simply to make a point, even though I prefer One UI over the ugly stock Android look. Samsung needs to get their crap together!

                            Some people making fun of samsung and let me tell you why, because it's simply a big player in the phone market, if any other smaller company made this there would be no complaining, before android 14 samsung was so fast with updates but what people don't know that samsung is changing its UI to vulkan deep in the core so they remove stuff and add stuff which makes problems and I know they should have done that long time ago but they did what they did.
                            Apple people making fun and laughing but let me tell you who removed headphone jack and removed chargers from boxes, apple and samsung are on the same coin but with different shape.

                                Small issue? Yeah, I'd say so if we were talking about a midrange phone, but is that really enough and okay for you on a flagship phone? If so, then it shouldn't be.

                                I'm currently rocking an Infinix Zero 30 with a 144hz display and a Dimensity 8020 with Android 13, yet scrolling is buttery smooth, and I mean perfect. I bought this phone for 275 usd btw.

Better call xiaomi one of the best manufacturers. I have used xiaomi 13t pro, xiaomi 13 ultra, xiaomi 14 ultra and it am currently using s24 ultra and vivo x200 pro (backup phone). But vivo x200 pro is slowly becoming my main phone. Camera wise, it is better than xiaomi. And i miss the snapdragon chipset on the vivo, but i can deal with that. Everyone has their own choice. I would call sony the best smartphone manufacturer but it is not available here. And guess what, it has a 3.5mm jack and a micro sd slot. Plus, the continuous zoom is awesome. No flagship can compete with sony these days.

                                    I'm pleased to have left Samsung behind. The wait for the update to One UI 7 (and Android 15) has been ludicrous. If I still had my s24U I'd be furious by now. Really poor, whatever the reasons. Sad to see.

                                        Everything seems fine on my s24+ no any issues here. Though don't know about secure folder. As for unlocking I use a number pin. Works fine without factory reset but decided to do it anyway. Only small issue is that scrolling isn't very smooth. Will be fixed after some updates.
