My next device will defi... moreDude updates are not entirely HTC 's responsibility .Ask your network carrier about it since HTC one x is updated.It's the fault of the carrier not HTC to release the update.It also depends on the processor that's in your phone.Qualcomm stopped the update of HTC one s.So Google before you post anything.

My next device will defi... moreit's already out and rolling out to one x's all over the world. if the phone has carrier branding then you have to wait for the carrier to test and release the update from their end. It also depends on your cid. you can find out what your cid is by downloading cid getter from the play store, open it and up top in red is your cid. Updates can also be a problem because of nvidia. Although the nexus 7 uses a tegra 3, it's got different components and uses a different bsp (drivers) for android so if support stops, it most likely is nvidia's fault. it was qualcomm's fault for stopping updates on the one s

What about 4.2.# update for OneX ? My next device will definitely not be an HTC just because of the uppdate issue (policy), have had experienced with Desire but then thought it was "Ok" as I was convinced on given reasons (hw issues), but this time no excuse acceptable for me. If it is just about marketing strategy; push people "upgrade" by buying new device, I follow my own strategy, no more HTC (or whatever brand it is), switching to another manufacturer. SONY is shining brilliantly nowadays, and believe/hope Sammy will invest more to build quality in their next flagship.
