    I used too have pretty much all of them since Xperia 1. And Xperia 1 III was in my posession the longest period of time - around one year. All of them had underwhelming cameras or the best in vacuum if you like. Pretty sure X VII will be another flop.

      I definitely miss the 1 IV purple a lot. It's a really good looking colour.

        They gave excellent natural photography, real photography, and people like myself love it

        I'd like to see better, larger camera sensors like the IMX 925 and a bigger 2:1 display but other than that Sony is perhaps the only company I'll defend for not changing just for the sake of it.

        They are serious about it all and if I remember correct, they put out a statement saying they won't quit making smartphones anytime soon.

        They had a huge contribution in developing rechargeable batteries and popularising 18650 cells.

        Most Japanese brands have a habit of not jumping onto the latest and greatest because of their nature to test things out first. Unless something proves reliable, Japan does not accept it, hence their reputation for making highest quality products.

          I'm a fan of Japanese electronics and entertainment brands,Panasonic/Technics mainly and Sony. Sony is the only brand left for mobiles in Europe, so for over 10 years I've been buying the highest-end models every time.
          Every time there are dozens of rumors, most of the time they are false, and fortunately GSM Arena often lists only the real ones, but for a few weeks now there's been a risk that the next Sony won't be released in Europe.
          Frankly, I'm very anxious until mid-May until the official announcement. I have contacts in Japan, the problem with the bands isn't the main one, but if I order it from Japan, I'm afraid there won't be French inside.
          Please Sony Xperia continue in Switzerland !

              Here's hoping for 1/2 inch sensor on the other ultrawide and telephoto. Any lower and it might just be dead on waters. Although I'm pretty sure it'll be closer to 1/2.9 on the telephoto side.

                    Apparently, Sony seems not to be very committed to their smartphone business. If the camera sensors are of the same tiny size as in the previous iterations, and if they don't totally overhaul their image processing algorithms, they will not be able to compete with other flagship cameraphones, despite being as expensive or even more costly than the most expensive competing peers.
                    Is Sony going to let the Xperia line slowly die?

                      Rather giving a proper fast charging(atleast 65w) would be very appreciated.

                        My God. Congrats to Sony for even considering the idea of offering their flagship halo smartphone in colors that actually pop, like the purple from this post, or the beautiful Red from last year's 1 VI.
