While I do hope Xiaomi, Vivo etc drop Android layer and go FULL Harmony compatible in China.
I do hope Xiaomi, Vivo, etc do BOTH Harmony & Android compatibility in the rest of the world as a 3-5 years transition

Excellent move. I don't understand why China doesn't outright ban Google and/or Apple. The US went after Huawei - China's biggest tech company. China should do the same.

While Apple is totally it's own thing where other brands cant use their OS with the iPhone iOS version or have a skin over iOS like we have all sorts of Asian brands doing it on android.
On the windows part i agree on you. And windows run on even Lumia 520 so well. It even now works better then my 7 years old Redmi note 5 pro
And windows phones in majority were at SD4 series and few 6 series.

as long as every app, and i mean EVERY APP can be uninstalled without rooting or sketchy 3rd party software, it's going to be much better than current google infested crap.
