Although, I see open source options like Revolt possibly gaining more traction soon.

                Goodbye Skype, you will be missed

                  Discord is where it's at for me, so not worried about this for myself. I know plenty of people who have used Skype in some form or other, so this might be a bit of a pain point for them. I would suggest something other than a Microsoft platform to stream on.

                          Yordan, 15 hours agoSalute to the fallen. 🫡 Skype was one of the greatest.It was great, but Microsoft kept screwing up the UI/UX that annoyed all the users. A great app screwed by corporate incompetence with zero vision on what the product can offer.

                            We are never going to miss it. Junk app.

                                      Very disappointing. I used it to call home from China at least three times a week. Haven't found a good alternative yet as most don't offer the options to call phones and many that do are either blocked or just don't work in China. Skype always worked and was never blocked in China
