Realme shows off prototype phone with 10,000mAh battery

It's thinner and lighter than you might think.

10000mAh sounds nice but idk if id need a 320W charger, 65W is enough for that but the most important thing is that the battery need to be able to be removable

Give us 2000W charging so that we get to use our 16A power sockets.

Guyyz don't get excited if it gonna be 10000mah, possibility is dat battery will be quad cell so 320/4 =80W

iPhone 16 pro max for comparison

          8.3 mm thick
          227 g heavy
          4685 mAh
          Charging speed about 15w

Plus the iPhone slim is coming for over 1000USD

          And that's maybe 3000mah battery

jiyen235, 07 May 2025is that not available on every phone? You don't know anything...

The normal plugged-in scenario always enables battery charging...
But he is talking about Device usage through power being supplied from adaptor instead of battery.. when adaptor is plugged-in and battery is not charging through that in-between.

Anonymous, 07 May 2025Shameless Samsung hatersHe can't really hate on Samsung, otherwise, if Samsung didn't existed, his fancy Vivo latest "Ultra" would have nothing special, especially in the camera department.
Unless, of course, Vivo would just do what China does the best “creatively acquire” technology without asking.

Anonymous, 07 May 2025Shameless Samsung hatersI didn't even mention Samsung, but that's the first thing that you thought of because of slow charging lmao

Claymon, 07 May 2025not exactly, like yeah it'll down but of course in a w... moreEvery phone slows down charging speeds. Majority after 50%, even more after 80%.

Problem is advertising speed that the device is not capable of, no matter the cable or charged used. Not capable to reach for even 10 seconds.

Advertised 100W, peak 70W. In this example, peak show be 100.

Anonymous, 07 May 2025So, higher battery drain is just coincidence? "So, higher battery drain is just coincidence? "

The higher 5G drain could be from:
                      1. mmWaves 5G. mmWaves using 2x-4x more power because of the shorter waves.
                      2. Maybe you're carrier 5G network is not as good as 4G yet... because it's new, and they need to optimize it.

But, if you're carrier 5G network is in sub 6GHz band, and it's already optimized (as dense as the 4G), for the same amount of data, it use less power.

jiyen235, 07 May 2025is that not available on every phone?Honestly, I don't know if this "Charge the battery to 80 percent while the adapter is plugged in" is 100 percent the same and if it completely "removes" the battery from the circuit. I wish there was a button, a slider, with which I could physically disconnect the battery, not with software.

Anonymous, 07 May 2025My point ? Going to explain since you are not good at read... moreHave you heard of "safety"? Cars speedometer also say 0 to 260 km/h, but no one drives them constantly at 260 km/h. Or can you do it?
First, read a little about batteries, and not just get information from "a neighbor told me".
The new technology has increased the charging speed (reduced the charging time) by an average of 4 times and has increased the life of batteries (the number of charge-discharge cycles) by 2 times. Regarding temperature, the new technology makes it so that the main heating is carried by the adapter and cable, not the phone.
The charger says 100 watts and that's exactly how much it can give. You can use 0 to 100 watts at any time from this charger, depending on how much power is needed at a given moment by the device that is connected to it. Phones don't need to be fed 100 watts of power non-stop to charge a 6000mAh battery in 35 minutes. Which is much better than nearly an hour for a 5000mAh. And with less heating of the phone/battery and in a shorter time.
