Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is now official with 5.8mm profile, 3,900 mAh battery

13 May 2025
All of the recently leaked specs were accurate, it seems.

atichko, 11 hours agoI don't care about these attempts regarding slim, slim... moreOneUI7 has improved battery life in a good way, especially for standby time.
But then again, this has slightly less battery than the regular S25, but with larger screen. So it would probably has slightly worse battery life than the regular S25. It might be alright for many, but definitely not a phone you want to use for scrolling Tiktok 24/7 or gaming. It's a premium phone for those using it just as a phone with occasional smartphone usage.

Samsung launched a phone before the apple equivalent of the iPhone 17 lite.

Nobody asked for any of these two phones.

ua82, 11 hours agoIsn't it like 50-60 grams difference to what's al... moreEven a small weight difference makes a huge difference in daily use. Going from my bulky 187g Pixel 8 to the sleek 162g S25 felt like a leap into the future, the ergonomics are so much better.

I can only imagine how amazing a 6.7" thin flagship like this Edge would feel at 163g. Definitely looking forward to what comes next in this thin and light direction, especially when they figure out the battery's downside with tech like silicon-carbon batteries.

This is a fashion - tech product. More jewelery than phone. How big is the iphone battery? How many people buy those stupud expensive phones just to show the social status? For Samsung this is also a marketing strategy, just to show We can do it!

          Why so many comments ?

ua82, 10 hours agoThat's not the point , regardless of the form factor, ... moreof all the company in the world you expect Samsung to experiment with battery tech? They would never do such things again after the Note 7 fiasco.

Hope the market showcases how useless and irrelevant this product is by way of dreadful sales figures. This ‘Air’ nonsense is feeding a need nobody has.

If Samsung makes the battery life on this somehow good

It would actually be a disaster.. think about it

That would mean they would be deliberately holding back on battery optimizations on their phones with larger batteries

ua82, 10 hours agoYes it would be if si/c batter tech didn't exist They didn't implement that kind of batteries yet.

"If anything they just created more problems waiting for solutions."

Well, you have from Sisyphus a UI Underachieving Individual a statement so sublime? it will be assigned to TOP MEN!

Are we to believe a committed Samsung NON owner, has any advice?
Nope! You have to wonder if the above was, say, overheard?

                        Then (snippet)
I have already commented on this 20/12/2024 article, "Here's how thin the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim will allegedly be."
When this story first leaked (wow), it was essentially the S25 Ultra specs inside a thinner S25+ frame. I wrote it would be S25 ULTRA with 23.6296% reduction in volume. Impossible so it's really no surprise that the Edge whittled down specs emerged"

Your comment is spot on, so I add my voice to it

This is a question that may be borne of legitimate concern by Samsung. I like many of you...[opps back on track] are immune to everything Apple, if a person has an iPhone it doesn’t me I don't hate them. I wouldn't buy one (or TROLL Apple articles)

If Apple does market a thin phone, it will sell, sell, sell. So there may be some who want the Android version of the AIR

Samsung has launched a phone to counter Apple.... but if impossibly the S25U were inside a S25+ frame, that is an achievement literally defying laws of physics.

The 2 camera setup makes the Edge look like a midrange phone pure and simple (Samsungs A range 3 cameras) it doesn't look like a £1000 phone

Second Switzerland is a land locked country, the Edge is locked by its 6mm width, unless components get smaller (which benefits all Samsung models, the FLAGSHIP S2* Ultra and the other non flagship models included in the S Range)

Nobody should expect a significant yearly increase in specs due to width dimensions which may have to increase by both Samsung & Apple to facilitate

This thin craze nonsense makes absolutely no sense at all. It's a really stupid trend."
Why does this evoke Sisyphus... oh, I see it.

I am guessing from the UI Unsolicited Irritating comments that so far from the NONE person, the S25 Edge won't be added to the thousands of Favourite Devices that adorn his account

PureOS, 11 hours agoThis looks cheap compared to Sony lol. Btw, nothing special... moreWell the Phone was made for people who wear loose pants or shorts. Never carries any bag.

People complaining about battery missed the point of this product. It's not meant to be sold well like the normal S25, but mostly just for Samsung to brag "look we have the world thinnest phone" or whatever the marketing strategy it is.

And yeah nobody is forcing you to get this phone as well.

Not even close. Foldables? Not in the same category. Tecno Spark Slim? Concept phone, not in production... And so on. What about collinng the Elite? Structural integrity? Room for improvements on S26 Slim? SiC batteries? Samsung is going to bring them in S26. For now, this is good enough, just becouse no other brand offeres something this slim.
