It's all about the price, you know? If it's cheap enough, everyone'll love it, for sure.

I'm posting this message from my Samsung phone.
Samsung please end your smartphone business, you are not for that.
Chinese companies are far better, but people are not much reliable on Chinese brands is just because of security trust. If Chinese companies win over it, you are lost.
Samsung is just profit oriented with no innovation, no up gradation.

They are out of their minds. "About 1250 EUR" for this crap? It shouldn't even exist let alone be that expensive.

I bet this is going to be the biggest failure of the year up for Razzies award 2025 for sure.
who in their right frame of mind wants to pay similar price as S25ultra with smaller battery and inferior cameras all for the sake of being 2mm slim and a bit lighter.
Typical Samsung copying Apple all the way and losing any the powerhouse innovation of their former self since new mobile division CEO took charge few years back. Apple has year to year minor iterative upgrades (same with Samsung fones) and behold Iphone 17 Air is coming.... so not surprise at all Samsung has to have a slim one too lol 🤣.

Well, this truly ended up as the most boring phone of the year. It's way too powerful for how slim it is, that battery is absolutely tiny, but then the screen is huge and QHD+, it still gets the signature Ultra Slow charging as well, and a very basic dual camera setup for the price. What even costs so much about this thing?

Flop/Dead on arrival, 3900 mah battery ?
Samsung can't compete with battery capacity and fast charging with Chinese Mobiles out there .
I own quite number of Samsung Galaxy phones myself and OS is quite ok but battery is terrible.

Honestly, it wasn't a bad event. I think Samsung did a good job at alleviating most of the concerns that I had with this phone. The only thing I'm still worried about is if Samsung can justify this phone even existing. I'm not the target demographic, but I still don't see the advantage of a phone that's only 1.4mm thinner than the normal S25 and costs $300 more.
One thing I noticed about the event though was that even though it was only 14 minutes long, a large portion was about AI and not about the phone itself. That's usually how it is now unfortunately, but it's a little weird to see Samsung show off such a hardware-focused phone and spend nearly 30% of the event talking about software features they already released.
And when Samsung was showing off Gemini, the example they gave felt really depressing. They show a woman asking Gemini what artists she should see at a music festival and what she should wear. And I hate this so much. She literally just asks Gemini what artists she should see, and then without even reading what it says, blindly trusts that a chatbot knows her music tastes better than she does and adds the event to her notes. And then later she uses Gemini's video feature to ask it what to wear, as if, again, a chatbot knows her better than she does herself. Why would you ever outsource your life to AI like that? I just hate it so much. I don't even really care about the phone that much because that AI thing really sucked.
