Samsung might kill the Galaxy S26+ in favor of the S26 Edge

The Edge would launch at the same time as the S26 and S26 Ultra.

Samsung kill all other aliphatics and keeps S/edge and A line that's how it's work samsung

    GAMIR3DH, 19 hours agoIf the Edge is midrange then the Plus is also midrange 🙄Both are flagship devices with midrange specs, but flagship chipsets, like Poco Ultra devices level. Still, the S25+ is still much closer to a true flagship than the Edge.

      People buy plus series for long battery, these people killing the phone that meet user requirement.

      Edge series battery is equal to S vanilla series.

      Can't understand the strategy behind this.

        Unless they adopt silicone carbon battery technology, then no deal on the Edge.

          well the plus is way better than the edge, I'd take the extra 1000mAh and 3 Cameras instead of that "edge"

            If the S25 Edge moves less units than S25+ absolutely or pro-rated to the marketing budget, would they still kill the + and keep the edge?

              OnePlus is a good alternative where you get much for your bucks.

                Everywhere the ultra is advertised, they really wanna push you gonna get one.
                I personally think they should ditch the s pen of the ultra because the space could be used for a greater battery.
                The regular vanilla galaxy S should get a pro version, like apple does with its iPhone. Finally the edge needs a much greater battery in future lineups.
                PS: A few days ago the S25 ultra model was said to be sold more often than the vanilla and plus model combined.

                  If samsung stops making the plus model, I will shift to one plus or apple.

                    Personally I prefer the size of Plus. So if they replace Plus with a weaker battery Edge, that would make me harder to choose in future.

                            If Samsung are indeed ditching the Plus model in the range then hopefully they improve the tech on their Vanilla S models i.e. a higher res screen and bigger battery even if this would mean an increase in overall size. In essence the Vanilla S would replace the Plus.

                              They should’ve done this from the beginning.
                              Right now, the Edge is a really poor proposition. Why get the Edge when you can get the S25+ for less, and get triple camera and better battery life? And it’s not like the S25+ is chunky. It’s still less than 200g.

                              It really showed that Samsung rushed the Edge to preempt Apple without thinking too much about its own product line.

                                I don't think it will ever "fix" the sales, as very few people would trade camera and battery life for thinness.

                                  You are spot on vlad. If the S26 edge has to replace the S26+ it needs to have a si/c battery. Among other things let me add.

                                    Typical Samsung following whatever Apple is doing despite the audacity to mock the latter in adverts.
