iPhone 17 Air battery capacity and weight leak

The battery capacity doesn't sound too promising.

Real and cool and healthy innovation! This is the first phone with hardware digital wellbeing feature!
After 2-3 hours of usage the phone turns off automatically and helps you maintain your balance. The charging speed will be intentionally slow too to complement this awesome feature.
The external battery will be both expensive and ugly to keep you from buying it.
The only intended proper usage of this phone so it can last a whole day is with the screen turned off and without streaming music.
Just leave it on the table or your desk and let everyone be impressed by how thin it is!
Truly a phone looking great while idling on any surface!!

Apple and Samsung have deep, stable supply chains that mass-produce lithium-ion at massive scale, optimized for cost and efficiency.. We can clearly see that they want to save every penny, like Samsung removing the BT from the pen for example..😬
      I understand their logic, BUT then DON'T make a device that nobody asked for, just to cripple it with a small sized battery 🥰

                  2800 mAh is, for lack of better words: Ridiculously small. The battery capacity is next to nothing. At this point Apple should market this as "All-day battery drain" This is not lasting more than 12 hours and if the battery degrades then you might as well keep it in the charger.

                        If only we'd have a battery technology which would allow to have a bigger capacity in a smaller footprint..oh wait, we do have!! So why not use it?
                        Honor can use it in a midrange phone, but Apple can't in a higher tier one? 😍

                            Yeah I don’t care about the capacity, 145g is perfect and exactly how much a smartphone should weigh period. But it would have been easier to achieve a good battery endurance by using a smaller display, which would mean a smaller but thicker phone, which would have also allowed space for the second ultrawide camera. And at that point it would have been an IPhone mini which is what would be needed.

                                Iphone X has similar battery size and that phone with less powerful chip when it was new has problem to go 8-10h on one charge with mixed usage... Now imagine this one how it will go. Battery will have 800 cycles in just 10-12 months, and we all know that iphone batteries are bad and can't go over 800 cycles to go to or under 80% health...

                                  If that new battery-saving feature actually does improve SOT significantly, only then may I really like this phone.
