As a citizen of EU and citizen of the world I do not agree with this. This was a trojan horse in Nokia, and expect Microsoft is blocked by antitrust laws.

    Nokian Horse
A friend of mine who's a big of Nokia gave the man this title. I think it's cool. Imagine from now on, we replace the word "Trojan"(computer malware) with "Nokian".

e.g.: My computer was infected by the recent "Nokian".

Nokia failure is a best ever Microsoft's business plan. Finnish campus have dropped Symbian because it was old. It's ok, but MeeGo had a chance to be Mobile OS #3 (or at least #5). Then Elop (Microsoft boy) comes and picks Windows Phone. Only WP and stops Meltemi developing.
And now he sold Nokia when company became much cheaper than in 2010, before Windows Phone affair. I almost forgot, Elop returns to Microsoft :)

1)You sent your corporate hitman to target company(NOKIA)
2)He kills the your greatest threat(Maemo / Linux ecology)
3)He makes the target dependent on you
4)He forces to adpot to ur religion(Windows)
5)Now undervalue the greatness and buy it
        GREAT STRATEGY

evil man...it is all about politics...the Finnish phone maker that once dominated the global market collapsed into the arms of the U.S. software giant, its mobile business ravaged by nimbler rivals Apple Inc and Samsung Electronics.

... the company has lost its freedom. Liberty of decision, the freedom to determine the direction of development and the freedom to be Nokia The Great.

... but before all this, the company began to lose money. Lots of money. You can't blame Microsoft for this. The management of Nokia on the first place is responsible for not well-focused development, and fear of failure.

You should be a total idiot if you think that a single person can fail a company like Nokia. There are literally hundreds of ppl with their own interests, that will make sure that they don't lose their investments.

Surely Elop seems like a traitor, but blaming him is kinda stupid.

Both Stephen Elop and Microsoft together led Nokia to this acquisition, i would love if Nokia abandon the deal and go for Android. Nokia will rise like phoenix from the ashes, i am so very sure of it. I will pray that Nokia learns about it's worth and the loyal customers it has and go for Android to have a dynamic variety of smartphones. Their share of market will certainly rise. I hate Stephen Elop and MS for their traitor behavior.
