Does RIM have a facility like this? If so did they use the same courier as DWP and did it ever arrive when they sent the Blackberry Storm?

There`s something wrong with this video:
if these tests are made on every Nokia model, how can it be that the most expensive series of Nokia come out from the factory with some stupid faults that can`t be tolerated on such expensive phones.
Example: the newest 8800e series are made with the same fault-the earpiece that gets stucked and filled with dust that can`t be cleaned from the outside, after only several days of usage. 3 series are made and still nothing is improved:Arte,Saphire and Carbon, all made with the same fault! How can it be that such expensive phones are not tested for that fault? How can it be that hey don`t listen to the customers feedback? I know for that cause I have repaired more than 50 pieces with the same fault!
There`s something that is wrong with their testing procedure...

I wonder if they test all nokia cell phones in this way O_o im preety sure they do, because Nokia are known for all-resistant.
I wonder what they do with theese tortured cell phones, they clean them and sell them like brand new or what? xD i would be happy if Nokia gift me one, even if it has been tortured on this way xD

I believe these test are validation testing. Meaning, these phones are tested during the initial sample or engineering build to determine the phone reliability to short, scratch, temperature etc. These tests are different from the manufacturing tests where each phone are tested. To mass produce phones (consumer electronics) there is no way such tests are being used. The most for mobile phone would be some sort of component testing plus functional testing.

Anonymous, 23 Nov 2008u all make me laugh
if SE MOTO and Samsung had the tests... moreall brands do this test. other brands like Samsung had shown BETTER phone testing routine in DISCOVER CHANNEL. anyway, this is all part of nokia's gimmick. they need this since they are now losing grip of market share. lolz.
nokia's built is not as durable as motorola.
nokia's look is not as fashionable as samsung and
nokia's camera is not as good as Sony Ericsson. esp. the C905. ;)
NOKIA just wants more publicity since they are now losing market share to samsung and Sony Ericsson. THEY NEED THIS KIND OF PUBLICITY BADLY! ;)

x-pert, 23 Nov 2008Hey, why there are so much comments about haters and lovers... moreLol.. I guess not. Of course with all those millions of Nokia phones sold daily, obviously Nokia has no time testing all of those. In other words, not every phone in a million undergoes this testing.
I guess they conduct this first before they mass-produce the phones (?) And if it failed to pass the standard, I guess they'll think of changing the way the phone was built and its assembly prior for mass-production and for release. Just my opinion guys. =)
By the way, I'm also a N82 user.. Sad to hear your complain about the speakers. Mine is working fine after 4 months of usage. Try visitting the N82 forum to seek some advice from the other N82 users. =)
