We never wanted the update now anyway. They are goig to provide us with 4.4 which is going to get massive improvements and even battery improvements.

Guys before making fools of yourselves think, then post....yes CRapple fanboys, think. The thought was nice but would never come to pass, remember the s4 had two quad core processors of different models with different specs, inorder to run them all at once they all need to be a15 or a7 cores with different clock speeds....which isnt the case. We have a a7 1.2Ghz and A15 1.6Ghz which do not have the same characteristics that is the sole reason they will NOT allow the use of all of them at once....besides the S4 is not slow and does not need this. I think it was just a gimmick to sell more phones - low but true......
its like having nos installed in your car, you will have a button and not run to buy bread burning nos....well the octa is JUST THAT, a layed back 1.2Ghz A7(toyota prius) for running to the store and back, you know they daily routes and a monster A15 1.6ghz(nissan GTR) to take to the race track.... understand, its good Samsung keep it this way, i am getting 4days battery life with everyday use plus music and downloading......

I jumped ship from Samsung after Note 1. The sides started peeling (now I have white and fake metal spots on side). Tired of the fake and plastic on their phones. I'm looking at the Sony ultra phone right now. Until Samsung makes a premium phone I want be back. I'm not spending over $800+ for a plastic phone.

actually, samsung is just lying..it would be not much different from battery consumption if thry upgrade it to real octacore..all of us are just blinded by samsung..they just want to have the real octacore to feature in their next device..another and additional dimmick it is..anyway,having an octacore cpu is useless for now..snapdragon version is still the best..

And the Galaxy Tab 7.7 GT-P6800 3G? No Refresh. The Android 4.0 is really choking. She needs to upgrade to 4.2 or 4.3 as soon as possible.
PS: I regret having bought. Should have bought the iPad Mini. And that's what I'll do if Samsung does not upgrade this unit ASAP. Samsung ever again.
Let's see if the update-Tab P6800 arrives.

Anonymous, 04 Oct 2013No they didn't. Looks like a bunch of jelly trolls. I... moreIt was a Samsung rep that said a "true" octa-core update was going to come to the S4 (and by extension the Note 3). It wasn't some rumor that was pulled out of thin air.

No, it has nothing to do with heat dissipation, it's the fact that Samsung shipped its Exynos processors with a broken CCI interconnect. The hardware itself is broken, and so a software update CANNOT fix it.

Heyyy at least we could make an omelet with the phone, no other phone company in the world would've ever think of this "out of this world" innovation,
Samsung, we make phones that can cook, and in the future, we will make phones that replace your fireplace :)
