no one can beat the mac os on iphone not the features just the os its rich this looks like a beta ver of some kind i mean it is its not out yet but it lacks richness for sure.

nokia makes easyusephones you cant say that on xperia......maby i tnot look spectacular but i am shoore its nice to use...i own a experia its have nice frontpanels but the intigration with winmobil is not good.....

I find it surprising that as soon as the bloody N96 came through FINALLY!!! they decide to mention that the N97 is being announced. Nokia seem to know how to keep the hype for their mediocre phones with a price tag that burns holes into everybodies pockets. In terms of comparing this phone to the top phones that are out now like Touch Pro, Inov8, X1, IPhone, N96 there is no point in comparing it because ITS NOT OUT YET!!!

I don't agree with the statement that Nokia's designer simply ripoff SE Xperia. In industrial design world, there are many cases that 2 company working independly but at the end came up with the same or similar product.
One famous case is Apple Macbook Air and Lenovo Thinkpad X300. The two company see the market for ultra portable full size laptops. At the end, they offer similar sulution for users (i know,the styling is defferent, but still similar). Lucky for Apple, the launch the product first (about a month before Lenovo).
So, Lenovo doesnt rippoff Apple. Same thing might happend with Nokia. And, we all know that Nokia has a strong market and user research.

The keyboard does not have a "Ctrl" key, which means there are no short-cuts (copy, paste, select all, etc.) Apparently the keyboard will be just for entering text. Not too much "business" on this phone.

so nice la its screen..compare xperia n n97, n97 design were very2 sincere than xperia..i'm 1 of s.e fans,but when i look n97, wah!!! So nice!!! Wif 1500mAh battery i hope it life time will long n long n long like energiZer battery...n i also hope n97 change to n99.very nice number n design n system

well the big problem that it is too late for nokia
this kind of phone already exists and it is already on sale at samsung, sony ericsson, LG
It is a pity to see nokia trying to run after the technology already finalized by everyone else except nokia
This N97 doesnt exist really, it is just a prototype start
Nokia doesnt know to do a symbian error free bug free phone see the catastrophic N96
And nokia doesnt know to to a good construction case. the n96 has a catastrophic case
very sad to see nokia showing they can only produce announces for end of 2009 as everybody else is already selling phones with top technology while nokia is showing a prototype
sad for nokia but there is better phones already on sale with samsung, sony, lg, apple ... and nothing from nokia

Its very sad how so many of these people are leaving TERRIBLE comments & dont know what they are talking about. I am glad Nokia is still using their Symbian OS. In todays world, many phone lovers are happy with simplicity. Symbian is more than what most think it is. I've owned plenty of windows operated handheld devices & I've always gone RIGHT back to Symbian due to the simple and fast options (not to mention, better signal) than these windows operated devices. Not all, but almost all Windows operated devices cant even send media via bluetooth and has poor quality. When a Windows Operated device comes out and can still do those small and quick simple tasks, then you can go TRY to bash Symbian.
STOP bashing this N97 if you have not even had the liberty of turning one on and using it!!!!! Nokia rules!!!!!

Re the comments about "only 5meg camera". The sensors in mobile fones are so small that the more pixels you cram on to them the more noise is generated. What we need is less JPEG compression which will lead to larger files but hopefully less noisy images.

looks plastic. Cant wait until this flops comes out so I cant sell it!! Wont sell as it is not full querty keyboard like every other PDA type handset! plus symbian sw is going down hill!

An old (year 2006) "HTC TyTN / Qtek 9600" PDA is 1000x better than this N97.
