Touchscreen Nokia N97 is the next step ahead with full QWERTY

02 Dec, 2008
The Nokia N97 is most definitely one of the most loaded N-series devices out there, but that's not it's all about. The N97 is the first high-end device powered by the latest touchscreen Symbian S60 OS...

N97 looks good..but still a great disappointment!!!.I have thought atleast it should have 8MP so sad to have 5MP..though when it will be released during Q2 2009 at that time all the other brands such as samsung,LG and SE will be in an different trend...Nokia should try different things or else they will be outdated from the market!!!

Excited? Dont, cause its only the ipo8.. Not the ivalo. Cant wait for corolla. I dont really likes touch screen, it makes your phone screen ruin.

This device will be a welcome addition to the N Series and is an interesting introduction to what Nokia will be offering later in 2009 which will include even more powerful devices.

SE X1,HTC WMobile its Crappy compared to S60 OS 9.4 devices ...
Also a Samsung innov8(8MPXS With 3D accelerator graphics Chip ) it´s better then SE x1. Samsung its strong with S60 OS.

But nokia Still have the best devices

            overall, nice phone.
but it certainly looks like a very bad copy of xperia.
i'm not sure what to think about how many open-close cycles will that mechanism withstand. reliability is in question here.
i'm pretty sure it will need a battery recharge every 2 days or even more often, judging by these specs.
imho, this is an anti-X1 smartphone.

                [deleted post]WOW!!!!!
                you are full of it.
you did not even touched N97 yet and you have already stated that it has a low quality design.
I mean I did not know that some one among us could tell about the future.
                :)

mmm Well nokias official figures state the n96 has battery life of 150mins talk time, very useful :(

Hopefully they may have spent some money on increasing battery performance on this one........

(would have to be good to tempt me away from my x1)

Tobin. P, 03 Dec 2008Sony Ericsson X1 Xerpia rip off anyone? No way, I wanted the Xperia, still do...slightly lol

This Nokia is the ONE! Only thing I'm worried about is the dreaded Battery life o_0 (N95 - remember?)

The 32GB Mem, and 3.5inch touchscreen, with a Qwerty Keyboard and special hinge...come on, Nokia have outdone themselves.

And I wanted to purchase a 32GB iPod Touch, and a new phone for '09, but I think I'll wait for this baby to come out and see what its like.

                                      Looks promising, looks promising.

nokia has a very wide range of phones (it is almost the same phone in differents cases) at all the prices (poor and rich people can give to nokia all the money they can afford)

Then other people can spend the right correct price to buy a good actual modern phone from samsung, LG, Sony, apple etc...
