Samsung Galaxy S4 mini said to be experiencing lackluster sales

Here are the reasons for this:
1. Price tag of this product is a turn off for what it offers.
2. Design wise, it looks like all other Galaxy phones from low price range to the high end. People are bored of the same design over and over again.
3. Most people know that Samsung won't update it and may launch a new mini version of S4.
4. Glossy plastic gives a cheap feel in hands and since it's made up of plastic, it feels really cheap in hands.
5. Nobody wants to buy this crap when better phones are available at same price or a little more.
6. TouchWiz is laggy and ugly which is present in almost all Samsung Galaxy phones which is a no differentiator. The end.

I have the solution:

Just add it (to S4 Mini) the camera features from the Nokia N8 with the Carl Zeiss lens and the flash xenon.
Nokia N8 will be disappear in a few months (or weeks). I have one. Buy these features to Nokia, or maybe try to add it a similar pack-camera like is running on the N8.
And remove S4 Zoom .... I think it would be the best solution

they hav run into the same problems as apple, treat your customers as mindless cash cows, dont bother about buseniness ethics, and customers will vote with their wallets, which is how should be, if you dont like a firm, dont give them your money

The problem with S4 mini:it's not just "mini" in display dimensions, it's too mini about the hardware specs....and the price big enough. I believe that are a lot of people who like a "mini" size: 4 - 4.3 inch, but to have the same specs as the "big" brother. I even don't know why they call it S4 (mini) cause is not so tight related with S4 (normal). For example they release now Android 4.3 for S4, and even for S3; but, for S4 mini when? .. probably never :((

the s4 mini was never to set or break records , samsung did these mini to show apple that they too can still make 4" smartphones ,after apple release their iphone 5 . 4"screen TV-Thumb Commercial saying that 4" screen are made just for the human hands which is common sense , btw iphone 5c is not selling at all

Sounds like ur trying to bash Xperias. Realise u didn't even mention what Xperia u had. Doubt u even had one, ur just tryna make Samsung look good.
Samsung do have good phones, the S4 mini just isn't one of them

My Friend had Brought S4 Mini , soon he was experiencing Network issues with it , Samsung offered full Refund instead of new Handset and even Service Guys advice to take refund rather then New Handset , Now is going for Lenovo . Lenovo has been bringing good handsets in Indian lately

Coming from a Xperia user, I found the s4 mini as a great mini. Ive tried to test it in stores, is very smooth and elegant phone. It may not be as highly specsed as its big brother, but it performs well and the good thing is it is very easy to hold and use with one hand.

Specs of the phone are good for second handset. I hv a duos version which really is put off just like our Prime Minister.
The handset fails to refresh and register to the service network if been to black out spots like elevators etc...
You need to restart all the time.

I wouldnt even bother to look at Nokia in the shop. First choice would always be Samsung followed by Sony then HTC. If HTC goes into the red further then it'd be like BB out of my radar.
