Consumer Reports: iPhone screen no match for Android flagships

No match in what aspects? the bump in pixel density its barely notable, and the Iphone screen its consistenly more bright and colors are more accurate while having enough punch than others AMOLED or overly saturated artificial LCD screens (I'm pointing at you S4 and G2 respectively), so the only thing they are really better its at being big... and consumers have not punished apple for that, they still sale more 5s that they can produce. This article use a series of assumptions that only contribute to make the believe that its an Apple hate site and its noticeable kind to Samsung.
I don't think that a company that its not competitive would have displace Cocacola and many others as the most valuable brand on earth, and I don't think a phone that is not well received by consumer or that consumer consider slacking would be the best sold smart phone on earth. Other manufactures have push on cosumer bigger than life screen that most consumer didn't really ask for, if you ask S4 users what's the ony thing they don't like about their device in most of the cases they will say "it's too big" and what makes it big... the monstrous screen.
It is tech site like this one and other android fan base site that are trying to push apple to use a bigger screen, not consumers, Apple will surely will start putting bigger screens on their phones the minute they start to loose sales due to this, however since they target audience still favors quality over quantity, they stick to 4" screens.

Iphone 5(s) compared to other devices is tooo ugly...
to much space above and under the screen,,,, apple, maybe you revolutionized the smartphone scene but today your phones are ugly, small screen, big bazels, low quality screen, no USB conector... the prize is so high the device is so down down down.....
take htc or sony.... you can't compare htc one or z1 to the iPhone....
samsung s4 build from plastic has a better look than the iphone5....
so sad...

AnonD-10287, 17 Oct 2013you must be joking, right? you know that after 6 months si... morei am using an htc one and one mini after changing from iphone 5...the screens are good which i said but for me and my own tastes the iphone 5 screen just gives you more realistic colors or to my eyes it does...it is all about our own personal like and dislike...as long as i dont see any pixels i am happy, im a busy guy i dont have time to watch movies on my phone, that is what my tv is for ... i would have kept my htc one s or xperia s if the ppi was better to be honest

5" too big in my pocket and i must carry by hand that not effective and mobilize when you must move fast!!!
note 3 ??? hello.., are you king kong community lol too bigger and can't fits in the pocket

People who want to use their phones go for bigger screens, people who buy phones for status, getting girls or otherwise not knowing what to do with their money go for iPhones... It doesn't make it better...

Oh common you iPhone fans, u guys know that apple will still increase the size of the iPhone eventually thus making your comments now pointless.
There is no how you can compare a 4.5" screen to a 4" one in many aspects. Things like browsing, gaming and watching videos all look good on a bigger screen. Even stuffs like reading messages and typing are better. A bigger screen also means more contents are going to fit the screen and reduces scrolling.
Apple really needs to up their game as the price they are asking for isnt worth the contents.

I have been using nexus since 3 months and i can say it's nowhere as good as my iphone 5 which it replaced under direct sunlight.
The big screen is welcome though but when it comes to direct sunlight most other phones suck including the s4 and note series.
