Making larger screens is innovation for Samsung. The size of iPhone makes sense to most people, and the sales of iPhone proves that.

OK. We get it! Enough with the Apple vs Android thing.
Just to be fair, I've owned a few phones running on both OS from a few manufacturers. All are good in terms of my personal choice, all brands have their edge over the others, some are bad, some are good, and some are just plain crap. But its still basically a mobile phone minus the tech, apps, OS and branding on it.
        IMMHO.

I don't care if the report says bigger screen is better. I don't like phablets! The iphone screen size is perfect for me. I would not mind to buy a similar sized android , but there is none with good specs in that size!
Maybe Apple should also sell a bigger screen iphone.
But also Maybe it's all the android camp who is not also listening for the need of a small size high end specs phone!

He specifically said that when iOS is compared to Android, it wouldn't even touch Android.

            It's like
            81% Android
            13% iOS
            4% WP8
            1%? BB+Symbian,etc

honestly, i find iPhone 5's screen look nicer than S4 and Note 3. Though I prefer Sony's screen looks better. And I don't find Sony viewing angle any issue.

When people want to buy them they are shocked that they cost more.

The only reason Android phones end up cheaper is because the makers dump them when they don't sell so well.

When the iPhone first came out people were whining that the screen was too big.

Apple designed the whole thing they could have gone with any screen size they wanted, they chose the size that was best for the user.

Anonymous, 18 Oct 2013Still waiting for the 64bit apps though ;)Like the camera?

Pages, Numbers, Keynote, iMovie, iPhoto all 64bit, all free with the 5s, Infinity Blade as demonstrated at the iPhone 5s introduction and anything else developers want to spend a bit of time converting using Apple's excellent tools.

So what's the story going to change to, when Android introduces 64bit?

Such wonderful "innovation" will be praised to the high heavens.

Samsung announced they are working on it as soon as Apple announced it, as did Qualcomm.

Remember it's another first from Apple.

                                      LG Optimus F3
Sony Experia J (and 1 other)
Samsung has a bunch of 4" phones, Star Pro, Light, Ace 3, S4 Mini, others.

There are 3 manufacturers and I haven't listed any from Indian or Chinese manufacturers (including Apple)

The reason there are more 5"+ offerings is that's where the market is at and other manufacturers have moved on. Apple is attracting very few first time buyers now. Most iphone 5c/5s purchases are previous iphone owners.

Besides, the word is already out that the next iphone will be 5" or larger.
