Vertu Boucheron 150 glitters but does it call?

10 Dec, 2008
We knew all along something was wrong with Vertu sets. It finally dawned on us they were actually somewhat understated. Well, no more. In celebration of their 150th anniversary, French jewelers Boucheron...

i prefer VEPTU, hahah

honestly... phones like this should be not only gold, but also extremely hi-tech.

2 month stand battery
bot cristals on the cover, but cristal voice quality.
etc.

but not the old crap in gold casing :/

2200hrs at £6 an hour=£13,200 so thier is not much profit on this model after taxes plus shop fees etc

I like the design. Now if they can only put good features on it to compliment the design then I still won't buy it because it costs too much. But I do like the design.

                  wat a waste of time
                  ...and gold

it doesnt even look gud. they spent so much time crafting something that looks like the way i "modified/enhanced" the appearance of my phone (mainly throwing it at stuff =) )

cudnt they hv done anything more productive during that time?
if it wasnt for rich morons this company wudnt survive. while they r buying a gold phone some ppl r hoping to find clean water.

Yes i agree a waste of effort to make such an unattractive phone.

Of course for the lucky buyer they may not be able to insure it and i reckon with a decent drop on a hard surface it will smash it's electronics and any moisture corrode it inside too... perhaps it could be recycled into a nice necklace & bracelet if that happens

It seems like the perfect piece to demonstrate the ridiculous overly-excessive times we live in. These new Vertu's should be kept in a time capsule to show future civilizations how/why we doomed ourselves: because we would rather spend 700 hours polishing a phone than helping out fellow people in need of even the most basic piece of technology. WEAK
