Sometimes i wonder y they make so many different types of mobile phones. Im sure they know most ppl only want high speed n a managable size. All this extra makes will just end up not sellable

watered down specs, not great, more reason why non-compromising mini flagship xperia z1f/z1s/z1 mini will succeed.
s4 mini active is not a flagship, poor imitation of the series S, capitalise on the successful s series with below par specs

Anonymous, 28 Oct 2013No...It's not flagship....However if you are not going spec... morei beg to differ, we are now in the end of 2013, the screen resolution for the S2 is at 217, with a 4.3inch screen. and the mini s4 active spots a 4.65in screen with only ~200 ppi, that is terrible, i mean seriously, even the low end smartphone is better than this.
a lot of the people prefer compact phone, and in this case with waterproofing feature, there are plenty to choose from
Xperia Z1s, ZR, V
i don't see why will this s4 active mini is gonna sell well.

It is very very .. bad phone i ever seen in my life.I have just purchase new phone 10.10.13 on bill from Irla,Mumbai
Problems :
1.It is showing sign of earphone without using it nor i used it
2.video clip stops every time in running
3.Battery life is very poor i have charge 3 time a day

If 720x480 was amazing for 20-60inch tv's for many many years....
Then 800x480 is suitable for 3-6inch displays..
As long as this device is priced competitively than there is nothing wrong with it....However if it costs as much as a flagship we have an issue.

Too bad they can't do a Sony here - Sony does proper "mini" phones which have similar specs as full-sized phone, but with a smaller screen. S4 Active Mini will have worse specs than S4 Mini... deal breaker!

It's just a clever marketing ploy to deceive their naive customers and capitalize on the popular S4 branding to generate more profit. Those naive S4 sheep won't even find out that what they're exactly getting are crippled versions not an actual mini version.

OH here we go again Another Samsung Galaxy S4 SOMETHING. now active, then active mini, then inactive than inactive mini, then mini, then mega, as if we don't have enough versions already. Just make 2 phones for crying out loud. One flagship another one cheaper , both can resist water and dust. DONE. don't need to make and design and waste everyone's time.
