The OS looks great. It's user friendly, smooth, and ready with whatever apps you need. No spyware and adware from Google. It's a great Linux distro on a Mobile.
Definitely a new choice for consumers.

"other smartphones are phones trying to be computers, N900 is a computer trying to be a phone".

OHA members, building devices based on a completely different platform which happens to run android apps might turn out to be an exception, though I really doubt Google would shoot themselves in the foot like that.

By the way, Aliyum OS had so much wrong stuff going on, it's hardly a valid example.

qHd is really inadequate, even iPhone has higher resolution, and that's on a much smaller display. And Moto G has same display size as this but 720p, at less than half the price I think?

Also, I think 1GB is not enough, based on my experience with N9. The chipset is quite good but I'm not surprised that many dislike it, this is GSMArena, the most spec and "feature" loving reviews on the entire www.

I hope this phone beat's nokia's ass totally! (-.-) If it weren't for microsoft this would have been the replacement of nokia for symbian and I wouldn't have switched to andoid instead. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! Still have my n900 here and this 256mb RAM could multitask 15 applications without a hiccup.

Nokia has a very good plan to return to phone market: They let go and bless their best engineers to build a Jolla phone when they have a doubt that elop will sell Nokia....And after the noncompete agreement ends they will buy Jolla and reenter phone buisness with Nokia/jolla brand.....Wow, great strategy

Funny how many people say it's too expensive and not a big deal before even trying the phone. Here's the point, until you actually try out the phone and compare it to other phones you don't have a clue. This phone might be nothing special, but then again after you test it perhaps the way Jolla has designed the Sailfish OS it's functionality may impress you and the value is in the software/hardware combination and not just the hardware alone.

If it's too expensive for you just buy an inexpensive Android phone.

They need to come into the market with a bang, not sneak through the back door. The best way to do that is to come at the market with a better price. 400 is pretty high especially considering its features/specs, and I am not just talking about the processor.
