Xperia Z1 already have the same processor, hurge batery, better camera, and the screen, is not 2k pixels, thank GOD for that, because it means better performance, and 441 PPI. not 500+ but who cares, more that 400 PPI or 1080P is just a waste, you wont be able to see any difference at all :P !!! how can samsung realease its flagship with nothing better than a smartphone that already is in the market???
If samsung continues with that, LG and Sony will take on android market easily.

AnonD-160955, 04 Dec 2013It sounds good. But LG G2, G3 and of course, G Flex will s... moreI am for LG too. Why? A simple reasoning: languages! I pick any LG phone and its language set is far more broad than any Samsung. I don't know why Sammy don't get it! A mobile phone is mobile and maybe moved to different locations and different language support is needed!

I don't see the point of going over 400 ppi, let alone 500 ppi. I'd rather see tangible performance and battery life improvement (do you hear me, every phone makers?) than intangible ppi improvement.

Even 1080P screens are a bit too much in my opinion, what're we gonna do with a 2K mobile screen? Seriously, there's still no 2K content to watch, so what's the point of watching a max 1080p movie on that display? Well, of course other than cooking your cpu/gpu and draining the battery...

all these big innovators and stuff with their 2k screen innovations etcetc.
How about you HW creators "invent" a phone with a battery that holds for 4-5 days.
I would be the first to buy it.
Nobody needs 1080p/2k/4k, 10-20-30-etc-GHz with terabytes of memory, really, nobody.
Give me a phone on which I can rely, that I can use, with which I can forget my charger at home without even thinking about it.

It sounds good. But LG G2, G3 and of course, G Flex will stop Sammy's domination. Now I'm ready to leave Samsung for LG.

Protocol, 04 Dec 2013I don't understand the purpose of 2K resolution on a phone ... moreWe can argue about the processor. More power is always better as long as battery life is alright. But more than 400ppi is undisputable bullshit. you just won't see a difference.

I don't understand the purpose of 2K resolution on a phone and 2.46 Ghz on a phone? Hell, it's a phone not a laptop! 720p and 1080p displays are just fine with 5-6" display. 2K display and 2.46 Ghz processor will have an impact on battery life. It's to note that due to such high resolution, the processor continously work to move the pixels which results in battery draining quickly and when playing a game on such a high resolution screen, the phone will heat and completely run of battery.

With this resolution it will lag like hell. What's the point of the extra resolution that you don't see, instead, having lags that you see all the time??

If 3840 horizontal pixels represents a 4K screen (for having roughly 4000 horizontal pixels), then 1920 horizontal pixels (or "1080p") should be considered 2K. The display on the Nexus 10 that is 2560x1600 should be considered 2.5K, as should this new rumored Galaxy S5 screen.
