hey ppl we have to remember if they create one phone with everything we need...this phone will be expensive and dont have competition and acess to diferent levels of population..
they have to create phone to richs and poors .its our reality...

no front camera for video calling it's just a turn off.
I can make do without mms,copy & paste,bt file transfer but hell no for video calling.
What year is it huh...1999?

What it's the ma... morethe two (apple and palm) doesn't know what's best in terms of communication. 3G calling is definitely way better than voice call, it's way more practical since in my country video calling and voice call have the same charges. it's realy different when you can see that someone you are calling.

for me this is the iphone killer,it has better touch controll the jestre feature is better than i phones user interface,and the big plus QWERTY keyboard.............i want this phone badly ,,,lol

Fifty bucks, seems pretty reasonable, not that I've EVER replaced a battery on any of the phone's I've owned over the last 15 years.
Then there are the multitude of battery packs designed to extend battery life, on a day to day basis.

I don't understand why palm choose to come out with this ugly looking device with physical keyboard. They have such a nice & powerful new OS and if they wanna compete with Iphone, they should have come out with full touch-screen (at least 3.8" screen similar to HTC touch HD), which is bigger than Iphone.
I saw video on this phone. UI is fantastic but the device...oh my god...its really ugly & out of date. Come on!!! it's 21st century..no need physical key board.
Thanks for bringing new OS but again disappointed me coz I am sick & tired of this IPhone. I really want someone really kill & put Iphone in rest in peace.

Palm's dying so they must go on with the fl... more'copying' multi touch is 'no good'? do you not realise that good ideas and logical technological progressions are sure to become adapted and furthered by different products and companies? iphones style of touchscreen 'copied' other pre existent phones too you know... not exactly a unique original product forged without preexisting tech. this is how things get done, progression and improvement step by step, thats why we have mobiles at all. dont knock priogression as 'copying' thats being simple...

And part of the problem are some really arrogant Apple users who make unargumented posts full of hatred towards people who don't like Apple's products.
Personally, I don't like the iPhone, because aforementioned things and because I prefer how things in the old Palm OS were done. And I also don't like the fact that the iPhone platform is so tightly closed also
But now with the Pre, it seems that I will have to adapt to more iPhone-ish way of doing things. ;)
I think that the Pre is an excellent device and I can't wait to see one in action! :)
And will it be better than the iPhone? Well, we'll see. For some people (me included) it surely will. But for some other it won't and I respect that. :)

'i have an ipod, i want an iphone' says the ignorant consumer, too dumb to notice that all its features have been around forever, Apple simply convinced dumb americans that it was revolutionary and yanks are suckers for consumer fads.
