Ryo Saeba, 14 Dec 2013"You do know that Google is not Nexus 5 maker?" ... moreSo what?
You missed the point. LG MAKE IT.
And the OEMs that make Nexus almost for free(no good profit, as their own flagships), LG, Samsung, Asus.....will never make it, without flaws. That's why Nexus will always have flaws and omited functions. No matter if is better than the handicap iphone.

People will be pissed about this.

AnonD-130551, 13 Dec 2013Read the Anandtech review; battery life is fine.Err.. no it's not. The Nexus 4 battery review was also "fine" until I got one and it was crap. Barely can squeeze 3 hours screen time no matter what I did, even a clean restore with no apps installed.

Synthetic battery tests usually don't include standby time. The Nexus line eats battery like crazy on standby. You will hardly ever get 24 hours standby + 3 hours screen time on a single charge. Never happened with my N4. Will not happen on the N5.

Actually, Google designs the phone, down to what chipset to use. LG simply follow Google's direction and makes it. The design change has to have come from Google, not LG.

IPhone, 13 Dec 2013Is that iPhone bottom lol Google and LG together copying IP... moreSo speaker/mic grill + connector at bottom = iPhone? I suppose all cars with 4 wheels are Model-T?

Get off your high horse. The iPhone design is 4 years out of date and many users are jealous of larger screen phones. (I was one of them and said I had enough and got me a 4.7")

Take a look around, iPhone users hold their phones closer to their face because they can't read the small screen!

Look at all of the advertising material and literature.

                    There is no capital S.

Yes, Nexus become better and better , but always will have flaws. On purpose. THAT IS IN THE CONTRACT with the OEMs.
This, that Nexus 5 is better than iphone, is because Apple just don't care.

Why do Google continue giving LG the license to make Nexus Devices when clearly they are not very good at it. Even the Nexus 4 has and had a lot of problems hardware as well as design. The last good nexus was GNex :( . Any alternative like HTC/Samsung or their homebrew motorola .... never liked LG and all this makes it more solidified.

Now it very much is, or else you haven't been paying attention. Granted, it's not all the way there, yet: there are still a few compromises here and there, but of the main features that tend to sell phones, what on the Nexus 5 or 7 (2013) is NOT high-end? The Nexus 5 has the current fastest processor, 2 GB RAM, a great 1080p display (very accurately calibrated, too), a good camera, LTE, 802.11 ac...Compare this with the Galaxy S4 (the quintessential high-end Android phone) and Nexus 5 eats it for breakfast in most respects.

Again, the value of Nexus devices used to be their main selling point for the non-geek, but not anymore. Google has very clearly upped their hardware game, and now Nexus devices can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the best hardware on the market.
