Android 4.3 update starts rolling out for Galaxy S III, again

Updated my GS3 to 4.3 from 4.1.2 and was going smoothly. After update phone turned itself off and have beentrying for past 10 hours to switch it back on. Not good samsung I have photos of my children on there and I need my phone. Have taken battery out to perform hard reboot but no joy.

What all others got updates?
It got a 4.3 and is scheduled for a 4.4 soon. Where as very few others are in the same boat. Even the minis and other cheap ones are possibly getting 4.4 from Samsung. So wanna try again?

Undoubtedly it's fast but not as useful as the touchwiz is...poor otg performance, buggy camera..battery drain. .music player was awful and and at times music wouldn't pkay via earphones so I had to pull them out and dock them again. So So once again I installed the old touchwiz and I am happy with it. It's much much better than the Cyanogenmod

Samsung is now Become a losser mobile company, They only work with new Models & forgot abt old models.... All other Nexus, HTC one now receiving 4.4 Kit-kat but we still waiting for 4.3 in S3 (i9300) . what a Big shame on samsung, Geting bore by listening new about this device....
customers have two options 1) buy everytime new samsung mobile phone every time or 2) simple move for another mobile company

First off Touchwiz is not some excessively laggy UI...Especially if you tried calling Sense or others light and perfect....Though Sense has lightened.
There is no such thing as a lag free device. All technology has flaws, issues, and hiccups.
You can say it's bloated all you want, but it's the most functional and offers the most. And most things are OPTIONAL.
And if you want something besides plastic that is fine, but poly carbonate plastic is high end build. It's not cheap nor are the aluminum ones really more premium.
Plastic even offers many durability and practicality advantages.
As far as glass the Z1 is the only glass device that ever held up so well...Still glass though and the internals took a bigger hit.
Preference is preference. Just as well logical fallacies are logical fallacies.

Samsung is always almost the last one to update its devices. I am surprised to know that they are going to launch Samsung grand 2 tomorrow in India with JB 4.3. But the flagship S3 users in India are still stuck with JB 4.1.2 This is certainly my last Samsung phone. I am switching to HTC or may go for the next iphone.

I updated to the flawed 4.3 UK update. My phone was unusable. For the first time I felt the need to try cyanogen mod. It has breathed new life into my phone. I don't have huge expectations but I expect flagships to not Lag at all. LG kills any gadget for me. Cyanogen mod is very fast compared to Samsung own software. My next phone will not be a Samsung, why? I'm bored of Lag, even the s4 stutters here N and there. Touchwhiz and being poorly optimised and bloated is to blame here. I'm also bored of plastic! I'm also bored of slow updates. Next device will be a nexus device most likely or something with high end build and no lag! HTC one 2 or next Sony hmm.

There is a KitKat release from Android already. So why cant Samsung release 4.4 and not the old 4.3 version of Android for its top devices ?
