Actually i feel very very comfortable with Android 4.1.2 on my S3. Because its perfect, fast and flawless. As i have no GEAR so i have no hurry again to update my set.

Beware, don't update yet. This update could be pulled off too. There are kernel deep sleep issues with some S3s and the device hangs often. The battery drain can go insane at times.

Installed the new v4.3 Firmware. Screen now takes 2 seconds to unlock. Same with the Dialer, Contacts, & Messaging app. The battery drains like a sieve.

Great !!! Looks like Samsung has gone so crazy in manufacturing new phone that they have forgotten they had launched Galaxy S3 sometime ago.

AnonD-216486, 19 Dec 2013Here come the idiots comparing Apple software updates to Sa... moreEven Google itself isn't doing a very good job in updating its nexus phones. They promote KitKat saying its optimized to run on low end devices as well (512MB RAM ones) but then leave out galaxy nexus (1gb ram) device just because it falls outside of update window of 18 months, even though hardware is very well capable.

I'm not much of an apple admirer, but apple deserves credit for trying to update phones as long as the hardware might be able to support it.

Here come the idiots comparing Apple software updates to Samsung again.

If you want to compare then compare Apple V Nexus, not Apple vs Device maker and 3rd party software

it's really not that hard to understand, well that is unless you have another agenda which has nothing to do with a fair and honest comparison....

I'm holding the note 2 for some time now and i'm tottaly impressed with the performance,But this is the Note 2,last year's Flagship it deserves better treatement than this.Or we should all switch to C.M and lose all S-pen functions if we want to stay up to date.

AnonD-198390, 19 Dec 2013Cmon. iPhone 4 on iOS7 is terribly laggy. 4S is also not so... moreTrue that..but the point you are missing is iphone 4 was released way back in 2010. Its truly remarkable that they are still offering update in 2014 for that phone, especially when compared with droid world.

Galaxy s3 was released in may 2012 and struggling to get updates. For direct comparisons with apple product you should use iphone 5 as reference which was released around the same time.
