This handset needs upgrade of megapixel count & BSI sensor, i like to print A4 size, and with current megapixel count it looks really poor. You dont carry all the time camera but you have your Phone with you all the time so an upgrade in those 2 specs would make my purchase decision guaranteed.

i think htc will now go for a 2 mp camera now, anything bigger than that will be an overkill for htc n its fans, no matter what fancy words like ultrapixel htc uses htc one is just a 4mp camera,

AnonD-192549, 17 Jan 2014Seems you are still stuck in 2007 thinking more megapixels ... moreIndeed more is always not better. I have seen horrible 8 mp and 13 mp cameras. But 808 and 1020 proved that if you want the best then you must have more pixels. I am not expecting a 41 mp camera from htc but their ultrapixel camera on HTC one couldn't live up to expectations.

that is actually not true. if you see the photo comparison between the HTC one and Lumia 1020 you can see more detail in Lumia 1020. Even the LG G2, or Xperia Z. Even these phones do better for video category.

The best looking phone last year would have to be the HTC One, hands down. Too bad the it did not take the best looking pictures.
Now there will be 2 Ultra Pixel sensors. This will either make the pictures twice as bad or make the pictures look normal as though it was taken from any other camera phone currently on the market.
HTC playing catch-up by adding an extra Ultra Pixel camera.
Is the front facing camera Ultra Pixel?

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2014HTC also has some sort of innovation up their sleeve. That'... moreWhy is it a pitty? HTC is even worse at supporting it's loyal customers then LG. They deserve hitting rock bottom!

If this has a Qhd display, a 2900 Mah battery cannot last even for a half day, similar to that of the previous M7.

If it's again cheap aluminum, sealed "premium" brick, it will be the last aluminum nail, in the HTC coffin.
No matter how much "blood , sweat, and tears" the tech media will spend AGAIN, with thousands of worshiping articles.

AnonD-212627, 17 Jan 2014twin ultraPixel camera is probably so it can shoot 4k ;)
a... moreActually, this is a misconception about "not needing more than 300 ppi".
It's true, maybe average human eye can't see more than 300-350 ppi, but..you SEE the difference in the smoothness of the image...the way that the colours blend.
So, as long as this resolution don't slow down the phone or consumes too much battery...it's a nice addition.

I would prefer before she put twin Ultrapixel camera, that the HTC M8 record at 4K (and so, a 13MP camera).... =/ It is just what HTC One is missing...
