Ronny, 20 Jan 2014How many of all the iphone features people use anyway? Majo... moreExactly then why would u still use that as one of your gimmicks to support your point? We all know how complicated it is sometimes to connect bluetooth with computers and other devices. When it doesn't work you blame it on other factors etc etc etc. why bring it up to begin with? You also mention there are other ways to do things, exactly, so all your bluetooth this and that is just nonsense gimmicks!

I don't want ANY biometric scanner on my device! I don't trust my device - basically it's not mine, it's "theirs" - I just pay for it. And I don't trust "them" either.

harlekkin, 20 Jan 2014And guess what... 98% of people out there couldn't care les... morei couldn't agree more. I had a Nexus 4. Even a stock android device i didn't use much of its features. like the Android beam? it's very true.. i think 90% it never worked! Bluetooth to share files? all you do is text your friends a dropbox link! My friend has an S4 and yes he turns OFF ALL features including eye stroll, smart pause, face unlock, air gesture etc... it's all useless, drains battery and just to show off.

harlekkin, 20 Jan 2014And guess what... 98% of people out there couldn't care les... moreHow many of all the iphone features people use anyway? Majority smartphone and desktop users are not so tech-savvy and that's the simple truth.

Pairing computers with mobile devices via Bluetooth always had problems since old Nokia phones. The issue is not really with the mobile devices, but the computer itself (e.g. firewall settings, drivers and etcs). So what if you can't get bluetooth to work on your computer, there's flexibility of using other connectivity options if you know how.

If you do not know how to use or configure something, how is that a fault of a technology? That's plain ignorance...

Ronny, 20 Jan 2014Awww..pretty obvious that you have not used an Android befo... moreI have used a stock android so don't even try to go there :) Let's see each of your gimmicky responses:

freedom to pair/share files with almost all bluetooth enabled devices: oh wow as if we don't have any other ways to share files!

"freedom of downloading, freedom to play almost all audio/video formats, freedom to drag and drop any files using USB without the need of itunes" So at the end of the day we all get our downloaded music and played so what's ur point? Lol

"freedom to run flash-enabled websites" Ok did you read the article on why SJ insisted NO on flash on iphones? There's a reason why people don't put something this big in their products!

"certain devices have the freedom to control TVs, A/V equipments, even your air-conditioner when you are on your bed...and all that just fraction of it" Ok like 99% of us do these things. I think it would be easier for me to press that little button on my remote control on the coffee table than the gimmicks.

"Even without all these "gimmicky" features I highly doubt if iphones give you much superior battery life than Androids."

The point is, we don't have these gimmicks that drains battery more than it's purpose.

I've used phones since 1997 so don't even try to think that i have not used an android.

AnonD-105795, 20 Jan 2014So will apple a follower/copyist if they come up with 4.7-5... moreNo, they are not. Because screen size isn't a feature or - I hate the word - innovation. TouchID is a radical redevelopment of how people use fingerprint scanners on a mobile device.

All of my girlfriends use Samsung devices, do you think any of them use s-beam or bluetooth to share pics or music? No, they use Facebook, Path or Youtube.

Speaking of bluetooth, I tried to get my friends S4 mini and S3 to pair to their laptops and transfer photos, we gave up after 20 minutes trying. Useless technology when you need tech support to sort it out for you... we know how it was supposed to work, it just didn't work.

Oh wait, here are the gimmicks; freedom to pair/share files with almost all bluetooth enabled devices, freedom of downloading, freedom to play almost all audio/video formats, freedom to drag and drop any files using USB without the need of itunes, freedom to run flash-enabled websites, certain devices have the freedom to control TVs, A/V equipments, even your air-conditioner when you are on your bed...and all that just fraction of it. Pinch-to-zoom, SMS conversation display, etc. etc. Apple started the customer-centric design on smartphones, no one can deny that.

Apple deserves the credit. If Apple didn't include a fingerprint sensor on the iPhone 5S, no manufacturer including Samsung would even think of it. Apple just made the fingerprint sensor so famous and also 64 bit processors. Apple rocks, always. Samsung shouldn't copy Apple this time or else Apple will get the government to kick out Samsung from the US market. Whenever Apple starts a trend, others follow. Apple Rules!
