I like the moto G a lot. The only downside for me is the soft keys. There is plenty of spce to have the settings, home and back buttons on the frame. It's a waste of screen space.

In terms of specs, this phone is definitely better than Galaxy Core and Xperia M (CPU, display, camera, OS version). Someone clarified that USB OTG is gone with kitkat update. Without SD Card slot and no USB OTG, this phone is useless to me even if it is available for 5K.

In Malaysia, the lowest price offering by some dealer is 755 Malaysian Currency which is exactly 14k for 16gb Dual SIM...........
1) Now what the heck is going on here(India)........
I think the price will be 14k, these websites like GSMArena and all are just roughly estimating it as 15k for single sim 8GB. Motorola is not a fool. They have global vision. They will not do such a silly mistake.
Another thing, FLIPKART is in the game.......SO even if Motorola price it higher......No one will even visit the flipkart page.....eventually there will be price drop.....may be huge price drop.
Then our dream comes true.
2) If by any reason if not happened then???
Then my friends don't lose hope.
Asus is another big player going to launch ZenFone series from just 6k!!!
ZenFone 5 is great device at just 9K....Google it!
Its gonna launch in late Q1 though :-(

Unlocked moto g 16 gb version costs around 18k in ebay.in website. How come 8 gb costs that amount? I don't agree with BGR's post. They simply put something for the sake of news.

I think India's Tax structure and duty design is to be blamed.. I have seen the device and trust me while it beats the Galaxy's and Lumia's of the world - it is definitely a far far better option than the Micromax's and Lava's.. Most of the reviews have missed the point on latest Android, built quality, style etc.. Will a Micromax Juice be ever able to give a KitKat upgrade leave alone the next many upgrades from Google.
Lets not forget its a changed Moto.. Motorola - a Google Company!

I compared the specs of Moto G with Samsung Galaxy grand quattro, Moto G is better in CPU, Display and camera. And price is similar. Only SD card slot is missing in Moto G, which is compensated by USB Host support. And Moto G already has kitkat. Quattro will most likely not get it, unless you root it and void warranty. In what ways Moto G is inferior to competition? Only after sales service is a big question mark, at this juncture. In every other aspect, Moto G seems to be a winner.

haha BIG FAIL with pricing in india. I can get a Quad core phones from micromax at that price. Considering it has absolutely no service stations in my state. Its really bad for motorola.
Not to mention that lumia 525 is 10k and moto G is 16k

But then in your micromax, you dont get quad core processor. screen resolution of 329 PPI. 720 p video resolution.
