Well of course it was inevitable for the iPhone to remain at 4.0 inches, no matter what the screen had to increase at some point. The main concern now is the PRICE. My God, I'm sure you can buy a small car for the iPhone 6

M and M, 23 Jan 2014Well, chances are samsung will have a non-removable battery... moreSorry but you are wrong. Removable batteries are an awesome feature. I have lost track of the number of times my friends iphones, sonys (etc) have gone flat and my GN2 or GN3 could still go for another week. Long plane trips, camping trips etc are never a problem.

The truth is that the user should not be allowed to mess with the battery, especially for expensive phones which are considered flagships and should retain some standards in performance and reliability.

The 4.8" size was a hit when the Galaxy S3 was launched in 2012.
It takes them 2yrs to realise that 4.5" to 5.2" is the way to go for smartphones!
And they stubbornly refused to make their battery removable for user replacement or for carrying a backup batt.
As long as the battery remain sealed I will never buy an iphone.

I might try my very first iPhone if this rumor is true. What I'm pretty sure is that the upcoming iPhone 6 will be more costly than the usual price release of Apple's smartphone.

lol poor apple..... samsung should just sue for using a big screen besides it was samsung who started all these big screen craze... but i mus say i didnt expect such a big jump i was thinking 4.3 or 4.5... but hey now they in the big screen league sales should be up.. i would advice samsung to stick with 5" cause 4.6 to 5" is the sweet spot.... i'm gonna buy the 6s and not the 6.....

This will arguably a huge, large, big sales boosting 'innovation'. Sadly this is the truth. When the 5 came it had a slightly bigger(or say taller) display and it became a record breaking seller, then the 5s with 64 bit boosted benchmarks and touchID set another standard. This 6th one will put off few existing iOwners but will bring a far huge wave of new adopters for the bigger screen itself.

In 2012, Apple says plastic phones are cheap, and more than 4 inch screens are ridiculous. Now what?

Tom-Helge, 23 Jan 2014Gonna have a nice laugh when all of the Apple fanboyses are... moreOh no. They could've fit a much larger battery in long ago...They choose not to. One they have a sealed off device and non removable battery...that gives more room. Then on op of that they use lithium polymer batteries which can hold higher capacities in smaller more mold-able sizes/shapes...
