Another one bites the dust..sing with me people..and another..and another one..and another one bites the dust. Now you can really say Motorola is "Made in China". Here's hoping that a China company will make better phones with newer, developed technology instead of always trying a quick buck...NOT IN YOUR LIFETIME..

I was sooooooo pissed off at this, but now I feel better. Lenovo is #1 pc manufacturer in the world. And all of that thanks to an acquisition in 2005. They can easily turn Motorola into a big thing.
Lenovo's CEO said Motorola is their "jewel". Things will stay like they are now.

Google tought them how to do it right, now they will do it right.

People must admit that Chinese do make high quality mobile phones! Big phone makers make both cheap and expensive phones! You are not going to get a super phone with 100 dollar budget. Before you bully Chinese made products, why not pull out more pennies from your pocket. Do not judge a product that you haven't obtained yet; wait and see what pretties will NEW MOTO bring out.

[deleted post]Right, and America has done a great job keeping peace in the world. Look at how many wars they've got into in the last 20 years, then look at China.

Well, to the topic, this is sounds promising. looking at what Lenovo did to the Thinkpads, I can't wait to see what they have in store for us C:

as long as they stick with Motorola naming, i'm fine with it quite honestly. Motorola always forgets markets outside US (expecially Asian countries), and Lenovo can aid that. Look out for Moto outlets in places like China, India, Philippines or anywhere Kobe is popular, that would be beneficial for sales. Updates-wise, i just hope people responsible for the recent Moto devices would still work at Lenovo. Good luck to Moto!

Eske Rahn, 30 Jan 2014Ghee what a choir of whining people... Is this a tea-party... moreExactly. It's obvious that Google bought Motorola just for patents, Lenovo bought it to actually do something with it. I hope to see Motorola again in my country, Lenovo is already here. And my old Motorolas had great hardware.
As for the anti-Chinese people, where was your phone made?

Judging by the great success Lenovo had in the market after the acquisition of IBM that might be promising , as for those who hate that a Chinese brand bought another American company well , that American company should have been doing well in the first place to avoid that , really guys I am neither Chinese nor American but that deal sounds really promising , Google was only promoting Motorola in U.S.A and that was for sure not enough at all in the mobile market as for those Americans who want to support a U.S. based company they go for the iPhone not Motorola , and also Moto G and Moto X was only cheap in U.S. which wasn't an effective move at all as profits can prove , so stop hating that great deal and look forward for a real flourishing of a company that was once a great one and can actually become the new Samsung.

Is this a tea-party convention of anti-Chinese racists?

Seen from Europe this looks like a good thing. Maybe now we will get some higher quality phones from China. Just look at how Lenovos laptops are the professional users choice as they are simply made not to be fancy but to be used day in and day out.
I hope we will be getting phones of that hardware quality.

Say goodbye to instant updates!!!! MUAHAHAHA now you'll wait like the rest of us or worst, since lenovo doesn't even have a software update division
